Course Curriculum Overview :

I got Metallurgy and Materials Engineering in josaa with my rank.At first year we are taught of everything basics like in class 12th. The curriculum gives us a basic idea about what is engineering and what are its real life applications.The course curriculum is very helpful for every engineering students.It also relates with my branch too.The course is not so difficult just some basics.

Class Size : 900Course Fees : INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are provided in the campus only.There is a good opurtunities for students also to take internships from outside as the college comes under top colleges and is reputed too.The stipend for internships are also good.Students get internships at third year.

Placement Experience :

The average placements for the year 2023 is 13.62LPA. Highest package is 70LPA. CSE has highest package. MMe has highest placement rate. Many companies visit here including core companies.Top companies like Microsoft,Jio,Tata,etc. also visit here.Overall placement is good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee for general and obc is 62500 and other fees are 20000 with a total of approx 82500.There are various scholarships for students also there are various educational loans.Alonf with tution fees hostel fees is 20000.Other fee details are available in the website.

Campus Life :

The annual fests include Aarohan ,Recstacy and many more which are organised by clubs.There are many clubs in Nit durgapur which provide students various oppurtunities in many field.It also promotes their personalty. There is a central library with many books.All books are available in every domain. Classrooms contain a smart board ,speakers and centralised acs. Sports are also promoted here.Inter Nit also happens every year.

Hostel Facilities :

Every year has a seperate hostel.In first year we get rooms where 3 students are alloted.The rooms are big and beds ,almirahs are also provided seperately.The mess is quite big and good quality food is served.We also have badminton courts,vollyball courts,basketball courts,coomon room in every floor where indoor games are played.Facilities like wifi, water cooler,lifts are also here.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Admission :

The admission process was online. Exam-JEE MAINS Application is available in official website of jee mains.Application fees is 1000 for general and OBC Jee mains is conducted twice a year.Its difficulty level is moderate. After qualification of jee mains I did my admission in Nit durgapur via online method.For hostel I did physical verification.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
