I took this college due to its strategic location as I belong to UP as well as it's excellent placement statistics as provided by one of it's then a student.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The whole course curriculum (ie for all 8 semesters) is provided by the Institute on its official website. You will also get the detailed course curriculum just before the beginning of every semester through the mail. The mail also provides the information about which faculty is going to take a particular course.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes IIIT ALLAHABAD is open for internship programs. There are 2 type of internship that is available in IIIT ALLAHABAD 1) 2 MONTH SUMMER INTERNSHIP: This is done by the mostly 3rd-year student. Stipend- varies from 20000/- to 40000/- 2) Six-month internship: This internship is done by final year student in the final seminar (8th) as we invite the companies for both 6-month internship and placement. Stipend: varies from 20000/- to 50000/-

Placement Experience :

The placement statistics of IIIT ALLAHABAD is very good even much better than some of the IITs.IIIT ALLAHABAD has only IT AND ECE branch with the overall strength of nearly 500 undergraduate students who are sitting for placements. More than 130 companies visited in placement session of 2017. The average package is 10-11 LPA and highest is 30 Lpa. 100% (yes 100%) placement for IT students.

College Events :

There is a number of cultural and technical wings in IIIT ALLAHABAD. Dance club, music club, sports club, technical wing(geekhaven) etc IIIT ALLAHABAD CELEBRATE 2 MAJOR FACTIVEL. EFFERVESCENCE: Effervescence is the annual cultural festival of the institute. It lasts for three days and includes technology, debate, music, sports, and other activities. Aparoksha: It is the annual technical fest of Institute. Aparoksha is a collaboration of tech enthusiasts to code, design and build innovative solutions.it has the majority of its event on the technical theme.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is not very expensive as it is a central funded deemed University. You have to pay a lump sum amount of 50000/- per semester (excluding mess fee)

Hostel Facilities :

As IIIT ALLAHABAD is very new institute opened in 1999 only so campus infrastructure is quite good and very well planned. The hostel is also in very good condition with spacious rooms. WiFi and LAN both are available in hostels. You will get the room in sharing basis( 2 people per room) but in the final year of your college, you will be getting a single seater room. Mess facility is not very good food quality is very average. Sometimes it is not eatable very oily type.

External Expense : More Than Rs.15000

Alumni/Alumna :

Strong alumina network. Alumina event organized frequently in institution senior students guidance available for the current student.

Exam Structure :

IIIT ALLAHABAD is following a relative grading system. The whole course of IT and ECE is divided into 8 semesters. You get SGPI at the end of every semester exam. The credits for each semester is not equally distributed. Each semester has different credit value so you can not calculate your CGPI just by taking an average of all SGPI.after 4th semester every semester has a semester project which has giving separate credits.

Admission :

I got this college on the basis of my performance in JEE MAINS 2013. I had got AIR 6000 in JEE MAINS 2013. After getting my results in JEE mains I go for choice filling for all the NITs and IIITs and I was alloted to this college based on my rank in 2 nd round of counciling.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. Remarks:
