Course Curriculum Overview :

Course and curriculum is more industry based than other colleges and it follows the curriculum of IIIT Hyderabad. Since it focuses more on industry basis and new trends the curriculum is really good comparing to other colleges . In each semester there'll be 1 mid sem exam and 1 semester then 2 quizes and all of moderate difficulty. Grading is purely relative

Class Size : 143Course Fees : INR 360000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Since I'm of first year I have no knowledge on the mentioned matter. But still I think the college provides good internship facilities or rather train and give good guidance for its students to receive good internship offers

Placement Experience :

I don't know much about this section.. But the avg package while I took admission (2023) was around 14LPA and highest package was around 50LPA. The number student intake is also increasing year by year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is comparatively high. Complete course fee including food,hostel etc would be around 15L. College itself do not provide any financial aids but can avail student scholarship loans. And since this college comes under premier institute loans are available without giving collateral.

Campus Life :

If you're looking for vibrant college life filled with fest and enjoyment DO NOT come here. There are fests and extracurricular activities but still not upto the expectations. There are many tech based clubs which are very active. Campus is still developing and many works are still going on and currently it does have only a small library as of now . IIIT K annual techno cultural fest is "apoorv" which commences around feb-march

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels inside the campus are quite cramped up. 1 room for 3 students each gets a cot, chair and table. There's washing machine available. And new hostels are still in construction. And its compulsory for all students to take hostel and mess from campus there's no option for pg or staying outside . In terms of food it's very bad and not at all worth the money we pay

Hostel Fee : INR 25000 per year

Admission :

Admission only through the JEE Mains examination. Application details etc can be found on jeemain.nta website. Normal reservation is given to all jee colleges. The minimum cutoff percentile should be around 94

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
