Course Curriculum Overview :

My course i.e Electrical engineering here at Nit Durgapur has got some really awesome faculties who teach very well and are really helpful.The curriculum of this course prepares us well to face any challenges related to our field.Exams take place every 2 months

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 156000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The placement and internship opportunity given in our college is very good.Some big companies visit our college for recruitment like Microsoft, Amazon etc. We have CDC which guides the students during placement season throughout.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For a general candidate the course fee is 78800rs per semester. Students coming from weak financial background/reservations etc have a lower fees. Scholarships are given by government to students coming from weak financial background.

Campus Life :

The campus experience here is wonderful.Our campus is lush green.We have two big grounds. Infrastucture is very good.There are many clubs in our college.Theres a Student Activity Centre and two major fests

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels here are decent.The hostel provided to is in 1st and 2nd year- Hall-14 is state-of-the-art.It has big rooms and is very spacious. Mess is decent but sometimes it makes bad food.but overall nice

Hostel Fee : INR 18000 per year

Admission :

I gave JEE(mains) and got AIR 19580 and cleared the cutoff to take admission in Nit Durgapur Electrical engineering branch.I don't have any reservations.The overall admission process was well guided by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. Exams are scheduledd but may prove to need extra assistane for comprehension of some of the contents.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
