- Campus have two sports complex where many types of sports are available
Dislikes
- Club selection process is very high they take minimum number of students
- At starting of year due to water shortage many times semester are squeezed and paper occurs more freuquently
Course Curriculum Overview :
My cousin is in a well known tech company in it department. he told me about the branch and its benefits. From his advice and through research I decided to opt it. World is continuously moving towards technology and the curriculum in our college is more inclined towards practical life application aspects. In every semester we have many practical subjects also to get real life exposure. Course curriculum is very good as specific it does not need any changes. one semester consists of 4 exams quiz1 30 min ,mid sem 1.5 hrs, quiz2 30 min,end sem 3 hrs
Internships Opportunities :
I am first year student so I don't know much about intership . but as I have interacted with my seniors they told me that internship process takes place in third of btech where company get started to take internship exam and interview And college student usually start to prepare for internship from 2nd year
Placement Experience :
Campus placement are available from 4 th year but we can get PPO from 3rd year. Many companies have visited our campus major ones from them are Google ,Amazon Microsoft ,Disney+hotstar and Goldman sachs company wise package details is not available for our branch but overall mean package was 25 lakh per annum and 45 lakh per annum was highest . last year placement percentage was almost 100 for it branch in nitk. I am planning to do job in it sector after getting degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As of now there is fees increase policy for us. complete cost of education for 4 years is around 9-10 lakhs. there are definitely many scholarships in our college I am not aware as of now. I am student in first year therefore I am not aware of it now.
Campus Life :
Name of annual fests are incident (March), engineer(October). Our library consists of more than 2000 physical books and have many books in digital forms also. Every class consists of smartboards. Almost every sport is available but swimming pool is in construction as of now.We also have two sports complex. I am not aware of any student run social group or portal.
Hostel Facilities :
We have 1 bed 1 self for books1 wardrobe 1 shoerack for each student in one room where 3 student live together in 1st year. Meal quality is not top notch it's fine and hygienic. menu consists of varities of dishes and we get 4 time meal per day. At the end of month we special meal also. At the time of registration hostel allotement was included .
Admission :
I got NITK through jee mains. Examination fees was 1000 rupees. They took 2 exams out of which best one was selected. Cut off was IT branch was approximately 99.7 for other states general category. Application form was released 2 to 3 week before examination on nta website.overall it was conducted fluently. Exam consisted of three subjects physics , chemistry and maths. As I have noticed level of physics has been decreased and maths have been increased if we compare it to previous year exams. application form, fees submition and date application was released in nta website . I got admission through jossa counselling (for admission in iit nit iiit gfti's). there was also mock round to get used to the process.
