Course Curriculum Overview :

The college follows IIIT Hyderabad curriculum, it is comprehensive and covers all topics related to computer science engineering like operating systems, machine learning, IOT, cloud computing, data structures and programming languages like java, c++, python, php, javascript, etc so I took this course. The curriculum is robust and includes modern technologies being implemented in real world. We are also taught about personality development, communication skills and other soft skills that are much needed than technical skills. Exams are conducted every 1 or 2 months designed by experienced faculty..

Class Size : 130Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience :

Student become eligible from 7th semester for campus placements. Many companies visit campus and last year aroud 70 companies have visited the campus. Highest package offered is 58LPA and average package is 12 LPA and nearly 92% of students are getting placements. I plan to get a job after degree and focus on my career.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee is as per the fee structure released during time of enrollment and it is comparitively high. Tuition fee for 1st sem is around 1 lakh and is same till 8th sem. Total cost of education is around 13 lakh for B.Tech. No scholarships or financial assistance will be given by college to any student but students will receive help in availing scholarships provided by the government. Students can work under any faculty on their research projects and can receive stipends.

Campus Life :

Campus environment is pleasant and rich in greenery. flash mobs happen every month or two. Annual fest is held in march and technical fest is held in september-october. Well stocked library is present in campus, classrooms and AC labs have neccessary ameneties like lan ports, projectors, good sound system, comfortable desks. Large sports ground is available for outdoor sports and indoor sports facilities like table tennis is also available. Many clubs like Beta labs, finance club, maketing and outreach club,, literary club, anime club and many are available which promote mental and academic health.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are alloted during time of admission and most of them have 3 shared rooms with bed, study table, lan ports, washing machine and water cooler on each wing. Meal is of good quality and menu contains variety of dishes from north and south India, mess food is palatable and different sections for veg and non-veg are available. Hostel fee is around 25k each sem. Locality is filled with malayalees.

Hostel Fee : INR 50000 per year

Admission :

Admission is done through josaa counselling, one must get under 35k rank in JEE Mains to get admission here. Application form availabiity and filling is done through josaa website. Reservation benefits for SC/ST and other EBC castes are applicable at time of admission. JEE Mains exam is conducted every year all over India in 1 or 2 sessions during jan-march and over 10lakh students write the exam each time, so it is difficult. Admission process is simple.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
