The campus is the best place for me .It is the best ever thing that nit Rourkela has given.

The placements vary each year, so it creates many confusion about future
The curriculum is very old it has to be changed according to the present requirements.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am much interested about circuits and about creativity. The faculty to student ratio is 1:23. The qualification of almost all teachers have done Ph.D in their respective field. The teachers are well qualified still teaching methodology is outdated.There are two semester exams -- Mid sem and End sem

Class Size : 113Course Fees : INR 198000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Being a first year student,I have not applied for any internship. But the seniors have got internships from companies like Microsoft, Google ,visa , nvindia and many companies with good remarks . software and core both have very good internship facilities here .

Placement Experience :

After getting the degree the degree i will go for placements .I will prefer core because the placements are really good in nit rourkela. I wish...my journey gets sucess.Previous year the placements for electrical was 100 percent. So wish this trend continues

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is almost no fee hike. In three to four years there is fee hike in nominal range. There are many scholarships available like Tata Scholarship, Merit cum Need Scholarship, ONGC Scholarship, Reliance Foundation Scholarship etc..

Campus Life :

There are 4 main fests:- INNOVISION (Technical Fest), Cosmopolitan (Cultural Fest), NITRUTSAV, Vriddhi (Sport Fest). Almost all books required by students are available in library along with many other books. Classrooms are well ventilated with good furnitures and modern facilities like projectors and LED screen.

Hostel Facilities :

We are now given hostels for 4 years with very good facilities and also food is good .first 1st years are given one hostel where there are no seniors and then from 2nd yr they are shifting us from the same hostel to another hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 10000 per year

Admission :

To get admitted we have to secure an AIR in JEE Mains. JEE Mains exam is held twice every year by NTA .The application is released once during November-December month and another during March month. Reservations are given to OBC, SC/ST candidates.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
