Great place if you desire of great faculty.

Remarks :

College management is the thing which is pulling the college down . But the faculty and the curriculum are the factors holding it somewhere.

Entrance Preview :

First of all, this place won't conduct any kind of examination or entrance test. For namesake, they conduct an one on one interview with the student before the admissions. Now why I opted this course over the others then ..I belong to MEDIA background i.e. Bamc when I was going through the options after graduation then MBA turned up as the best idea which could widen up the gates for a media student. Which are somewhere limited in bachelor's.v

Course Curriculum Overview :

The only thing which is holding this college is its curriculum. It's designed so wonderfully that I can guarantee you not a single student gets bored. It's full of practical tasks and research work. Unlike the other colleges where the college has become a place of getting a degree and mugging up things, this place would soon create a revolution in the field.

Internships Opportunities :

No, the college doesn't provide any kind of internships. They ask students to seek internships from themselves. And if someone wants from the college side they charge money or place in any stupid place.

Placement Experience :

College's placement is worst but faculties the way they are placing students from their contacts is marvellous.college call's companies for placement and they turn up only for one thing MARKETING. It doesn't matters from which background you are but you would be placed is Vivo oppo apart and few startups.

College Events :

Every department has a rest of its own. The college has its own musical fest ABHIVYAKTI. Annual fest is Expressions And freshers night. Not only this there are a lot many events like mushayara dj night dandiya night and the list is endless. In this aspect life here is like any Yash Raj movie college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's a way too expensive. It almost the backbone of the middle-class family kid's. The late fines are away too much and you don't get proper time to pay the fee. They won't accept it on time and would create a rush on the last days. And then would charge fine. They give you 10 days time. If you get late then pay 5 thousand as to late fine and after 2 days 10000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, nothing is available here. You have to pay the fee within 10days from the date of announcement of fee opening. And after the day passes they double the late fine. and finally after a certain date you need to take readmission

Campus Life :

Campus life is somewhere between good and awful. Good because of the studies and the curricular activities. And awful because of its poor management and hostel. For the management, you are not a student you are just another customer. However, the faculties do take initiatives by holding competitions for the departments like quizzes sports dances and many more.

Hostel Facilities :

It's awful here. You cannot survive here. There's nothing called hygiene in the canteen there have been many cases when students found glass pieces egg shells and capsules in there food. The warden here is the most Harami kind of person if you are a non-alcoholic person. And if you are an alcoholic person ten he's your best buddy.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni what's that. This college doesn't track it's students. Once you are away with your degree you are no one for the college. And if the seniors do want to come and help us they get thrashed.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is great here. At the end of every month you need to appear in a monthly test which entirely depends on your knowledge conscience and what you studied for the whole month it's nowhere from your books .and as per my opinion it's a great way to evolve students for a better future.

Admission :

Admission process is very easy here no entrance test nothing of that sort. Everything depends on the only factor : Money. If your pocket is tight you can persue any course of you desire. They conduct interviews but that's just for namesake. And there are some more tantrums but that's only for showing off. Once you enter the campus take that you are enrolled.

Faculty :

The faculty is the best according to me they are the one who is handling everything here from course to curriculum from discipline to fests everything. They are the best from their fields. College's placement is worst but faculties the way they are placing students from their contacts is marvelous.

The only exam that I had to give was CAT but it was a hard nut to crack. As my score in CAT met the cut-off this college, I received a call letter on my e-mail as I have earlier applied over here. I had to also go through a personal interview round and then got a final admission. All my academic documents and financial documents were also verified.

Placement Experience:

In the 4th semester, the companies started visiting the campus and prominent of those for our course were HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. The average salary offered was in the range of 35-40k a month. Nearly half the students from our batch were placed and I became a stockbroker now but took some experience by working at HDFC securities for a couple of years.

Admission:

Personal interview and the group discussion are the two rounds that you need to clear in order to get admission here. You need to be aware about your course and some questions from your past job/ internship are also asked (if you have done any). Some personality questions are asked as well. Be confident and answer.

Placement Experience:

The placement part is best in GEU. After the 2nd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys visit our campus every year for campus placements. The highest package offered to students was 32Lakhs PA and the average package was about 4Lakhs PA. Every year 90% of students get placed in a well reputed company with a good package. If you study well and work hard, then you can easily get placed in some good company. University helps students a lot in their placements and also in their personality development, so they can crack all the interviews easily. My plans after getting the degree are to become a Financial Analyst in a well reputed company.

Admissions are granted on the basis of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) organised specifically for the admission to colleges in the Uttarakhand state. I cleared the university cut off and then attended the UKSEE counselling organised by the university for seat allocation.

Our college maintains a close tie-ups with many companies from different sector. The placements are pretty good and internship assistance is also provided in our college. A student of UTU stands a chance to secure a package of around 4 LPA on average.
