Remarks :
I applied for Amity Gurgaon but didn't attend the college because the fee structure was high and also I didn't get the study vibes from that college. I applied to Christ University and didn't go there because I didn't get the course I was looking for. I didn't apply through the quota The minimum marks for the program I applied to was 60% and also science was the background needed. The age criteria was 18 or 19 The authority of my college had a conversation with me over a phone call. They asked me about my 12 results and why I'm opting for agriculture. They told me about the placement details and the faculties and also how they encourage people to participate in sports, and fests.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because there are lots of opportunities in every sector starting from banks to MNCs. The path is wide. The faculty in my college is really good. Like everyone is highly qualified and has expertise in the subject matter. The Head of the department holds a Ph.D. degree. Faculty: student ratio would be somewhere around 100:200. The maximum of the faculties are having a Ph.D. degree in a particular subject and some are having MSc degrees. The teaching method is too good and easy to understand. Notes are provided and they also help by suggesting names of good books to which I can refer. The exams were exactly on time and I studied well so for me it was not that tough to pass an exam.
Internships Opportunities :
The name of the company is agrostar and the role offered was agri advisor with a stipend of 5000 bucks. The project was to give advice to the farmers about the problems they are facing, to resolve them and that helped them gain more knowledge about the problems they face.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee hike was not that much. It used to vary somewhere around 1000-2000 bucks. The cost of the study is pretty less as compared to other colleges but the faculties are good. I didn't get any scholarship or financial assistance for and job. Financial assistance was not needed for me as I could afford the whole fees.
Campus Life :
The annual fest was only held and the name was Sparda and it used to be in March. There's no tech fest. Books are available in plenty and are helpful for students. Amenities in the classroom included a whiteboard, green board, projector, fans, desks, chalks, and duster. There used to be sports weeks in our college where for two weeks or so there used to be many sports held starting from chess to badminton to cricket. Winners were declared at the end of the sports week. Co-curricular activities used to happen during the fest only. There were no social groups or clubs which were run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
I shared my room with two other girls. The facilities provided were a bed, an almirah, a dustbin, a chair, and a study table for each one of us. The meal was good but not that spicy. Menu included rajma Chawl, roti sabzi, fruits, eggs, chicken, paneer, corn flakes, chole bhature. But the chole bhature was too oily and the chicken was tasteless. When I went to take admitted to the college at that time only I was given the option to choose whether to stay at a hostel or not. I opted for non AC hostel and there was a vacancy in the hostel where I got three sharing rooms I paid the amount for the hostel and shifted there.
Other Applied Colleges
