Remarks :
So basically, FMS assigns weightage to your CAT scaled scores for each section. Your CAT scaled score in Verbal Ability (VA) is multiplied by 40/72, in Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation (LRDI) by 30/60, and in Quantitative Ability (QA) by 30/66. Additionally, female candidates receive a bonus of +5 marks. In the final selection criteria, CAT score carries 50% weightage, followed by 15% for the personal interview, 5% for extempore, and 10% for the statement of purpose (SOP). The remaining 20% is allocated for the 10th and 12th scores, with 10 marks each if above 75%, otherwise 5 marks if between 60-75%. Female candidates also receive a 5-mark benefit in the final selection criteria. This constitutes the current selection criteria for FMS.
Course Curriculum Overview :
So, basically, there are 4 semesters, each including 8 subjects. In each semester of the first year, you cover subjects you've studied in your graduation basically . Then, in the second year, you choose a major and minor based on your interest field, such as marketing, finance, operation, consulting , economics and organization behaviour. These are mostly common subjects opted for by students, based on the faculty. Generally, you have teachers who mostly teach you in FMS , so you follow the curriculum accordingly.
Internships Opportunities :
For summer internship placements, it typically occurs in one phase spanning 7 days, with the round taking place around the 3rd week of September. At this stage, companies primarily offer roles in front-end consulting and marketing, especially under FMCG companies. Most roles involve sales, with some focusing on marketing based on the specific requirements of the company for internships.

The process spans 7 days each, with the first round taking place around the 2nd week of December and the final round around the 1st week of January. At this stage, companies offer roles primarily in front-end consulting and marketing, especially under FMCG companies. Most roles entail sales, with some focusing on marketing based on the specific requirements of the company.

Campus Life :
The college experience encompasses access to libraries, participation in clubs and societies like Content Society, including Conclub (Consulting), Sysoc (Operations), Finsoc (Finance), and Marksoc (Marketing and HR), which assist with interview preparation. Additionally, there are non-content societies like Fiesta for the annual college fest, Hasya for the meme club, Lit Soc for debates, and many more. Various events like the Annual Fest in February and Section Wars further enrich and contribute to the holistic development of students during their college journey.
Interview Experience :
So, the interview round typically starts with an extempore session where you're given a random topic to think about for 30 seconds, followed by a minute to speak about it. After that, you proceed to the personal interview. The duration of the interview varies from panel to panel, usually lasting a maximum of 15 minutes or an average of around 7 minutes per student.
