Likes

Campus life is good including seniors and friends
Faculty is up to the mark and helpful remain available

Dislikes

Mess food needs improvement... its not up to the mark

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am interest in the working of machinery so I opted this course.... the faculty is quite good.... they look into our problems.... they solve our doubts and remain available most of the time..... library is quite good with lots of books

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many reputed companies provide internship.... they are provided from first year itself..... they teach the students about job and developing skills....skills are developed which later comes to help during placements.

Placement Experience :

Placements is quite good....IIT is one the most premier engineering college in India.... placements are offered according to skill and cgpa.... seniors provide help regarding this.....many reputed companies come

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1.5 lakhs is the total cost per semester..... its affordable and perfect according to the facilities provided.... the faculty is up to the mark... hostel and amenities are also good..... mess food is also moderate

Campus Life :

Life at campus is enjoyable..... theres no boredom.... bonding is good...and friends remain available for all helps.... interaction with seniors is also good....kshitij is tech fest and spring fest is cultural and both take place in January

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel faculty is good... mess food needs improvement but over all its good.... safety is up to the mark.... there is security and guards are there to provide help.... we live in hostels...and location is good

Hostel Fee : INR 25000 per year

Admission :

I gave jee.... crack jee advanced to get admission....I am pursuing btech in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur one of the most premiere institutions...i am from general category so no reservation

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
