Course Curriculum Overview :

Since class 8th onwards I found myself more intrested about physics so I choose Mechanical engineering at IIT KANPUR which offers best course of mechanical department.This college have a good number of faculty members to teach students and help them.teacher to student ratio is about 1:100. All the faculty members are well educated and experienced in their respective fields and all of them deliver their content very nicely. We have our term examination in every 3 month.

Class Size : 150Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Iit kanpur provide good intern opportunity for students. Student after 2nd year start applying for many intern opportunity and some of them for research field. Many good companies like Google, Qualcomm, Ola etc. Give Intern opportunity with average stipend of 50 thousand per month

Placement Experience :

IIT KANPUR stands 4th rank among all the engineering colleges in India by NIRF ranking. From 7th semester onwards students becomes eligible for placements . All 1st class company visit our college including Google, Facebook, Ai and all other IT companies. in Last year arround 958 students get placement offers.Our Highest package is arround 2 Cr. Per annum and minimum package of 18 lakhs . Our college have good percentage of placed students of 90% . My future plans are to get into an it software company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

IIT KANPUR have a High fee of academic program but no doubt as compared to their facilities, quality of education,and extracurricular activities,and sports facilities it is quite very low.Many scholarship also run side by side to help students belonging to middle class family. Some famous scholarships are MCM, FBM etc.

Campus Life :

Campus Life of IIT KANPUR is wonderful and very joyful. Major 4 annual fest were organised by iit kanpur named as Antragini, Udhghosh, Techkriti,and Esummit. All of them are very wonderful.techkriti is conducted in month of March and Antragini in november. IIT kanpur has a biggest library in the India with wide variety of books base on engineering and journal. Many Amenities are there in class rooms. Every sports are available In IIT KANPUR with respective experienced coaches. In our college all the clubs and societies are run by students.

Hostel Facilities :

In our hostel, we get double or triple sitting rooms. All the cleaning facility and water facility are provided by hostel itself. Our hostel offers delicious meal and healthy food. Hostel are provided by college itself and we don't want to register externally for that .

Hostel Fee : INR 36000 per year

Admission :

Admission into iit is done through jee advanced exam.JEE ADVANCED exam is conducted every year by all 23 IIT's . Student of class 12 and those who passed 12th in last year are eligible for this exam.student must have scored more than 75% in their class 12th board exam. Forms are released on official website of jee advanced.student belonging to EWS,OBC,ST,SC,PWD category gets special reservation.

The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
