Course Curriculum Overview :

In durgapur professors are well qualified and well experienced. Most of them has done their phd from NITs and IITs. The course curriculum is 70-80% relevant. The semester exams are moderately difficult.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Here each year companies visit for internship also. In internship students get the chance for working as a intern with a decent amount of stipend and can get a experience of real world corporate life.

Placement Experience :

Placements are pretty good in NIT Durgapur. Many companies including Microsoft visit NIT Durgapur each year for recruitment. In session 2023-24 84.66% students got placed with highest 70lpa and 13.62 avarage lpa.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure is like typical NITs. For scholarship West bengal students can apply in SVMCM scholership. There are many other private and government scholarships also.Each year various companies including Microsoft come here for recruitment.

Campus Life :

Durgapur has annual cultural fest namely Recstacy and annual tech fest called Arohan. Except that there are many events held by various clubs throughout the year. Central library has a huge collection of engineering books.

Hostel Facilities :

Considering the hostel fees the hostels are pretty good. It has 20*7 electricity and water availability. Wifi and gysers are also available. Mess food is average. There are option for both veg and non veg.

Hostel Fee : INR 17000 per year

Admission :

To get admission in NIT Durgapur , you have to clear Jee mains then apply through JOSAA. In the placement session 2023-24 84.66% students got placed with average CTC 13.62 lpa and maximum was 70 lpa. Our hostel has 24*7 electricity and water availability. On each floor there is water purifier. Gysers and Wifi are also available. Hostel floor and bathroom cleaning is done everyday.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. Exams are scheduledd but may prove to need extra assistane for comprehension of some of the contents.

Reality of Jis college of engineering

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. The percentage of student getting placement is around 60-70% and the average package is around 4-5lakhs per annum. The highest package got by a student previous year was around ?10lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
