- Attendance criteria is not that compulsory in the college, which is very good for students who want to explore other opportunities.
- The nature of girls warden is quite very friendly in my time. I have heared the warden have changed, so I dont know about the new warden nature
Dislikes
- The Librarian staff behaviour is quite very rude and sometimes he doesn't allowed us to have books
- The labs are very dirty in pharmacy. Also the chemicals are expired. They are being kept like from 20 years
- There are no smartboard classes in the pharmacy department although other department have smart board classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was updated and it was prepared in such a way that it will make us an Industry. The faculty members were good, they either had doctorate or master's degrees. The faculty-to-student ratio was approx 1:40. The teaching method was done by giving lectures on the topic and the practicals assigned. The end-term exams were conducted in the month of Usually June. The exam's difficulty level was moderate. But backs were also present for many students. I did not get any back and passed out with a good percentage. I chose this course because of the opportunities this course will give me in the future and also because I belong to a doctor's family background.
Fees and Financial Aid
The best thing about the course is the fee structure here. As it is a government college, the fees were just around 14k per year excluding hostel fees. There were also scholarships given like the Pragati Girl Scholarship, Minority scholarship, and Reserved category scholarship. I didn't avail of any scholarship as I was general. The fees do not get hiked here as it is a government college.
Campus Life
The campus life was quite pretty good. There are so many extracurricular activities performed like the sports day, zonal sports day, etc. The books are also available there but in a less quantities. However, the classrooms were not in good shape. No smartboard classes for pharmacy. Talking about sports and other activities part, if you are good at it, you have a great opportunity to play in national tournaments and zonals. There is no social group present here.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel fee was 4000 per year excluding mess fees. For mess, we have to pay around 1800 per month. The hostel registration was done by filling out the form given by the warden. Each room was allocated to a maximum of 2 students in the girls' hostel and max 3 students in the boys' hostel. The food quality was okay. If rooms are available you will surely get the hostel. The attached bathroom-toilet was available in the girls' hostel in every room. Electricity was also present. However, there are no wifi facilities in the hostel. The girl's warden nature is very kind btw. However, there are many restrictions on girls' movement if they want an outing. For boys, no restrictions are there.
Admission
The admission process was done by giving UBTER entrance exam. The entrance exam form was available on UBTER official website. I got 97 rank in it, so I was able to take admission in government college. After been shortlisted for dpharma, the admission process was done ny going to the college a s verifying all the documents. The eligibility of the course was to have PCM or PCB in 12th with atleast 50% aggregate in it. The application form fees was 800 rs. There was no reservation availed by me, although there were scholarships for the reserved category. Yeah, the document verifying process was very Hectic and if something was minorly incorrect we have to correct it otherwise they won't accept our documents and register for admssion.
