Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose cse as I was interested in this field also obviously because of the high packages. The faculty to student ratio is pretty good. Faculty members are highly qualified, many of the professors are among the top 2% scientists of the world. The term exams are very timely as they occur exactly on the date which is specified in the academic calendar. Firstly there are mid sems of 30 marks, then the end sem exams of 50 marks. The level of difficulty of these papers were pretty decent, If you study well you can score decent marks.

Internships Opportunities :

Many internship opportunties are offered by different companies that visit the campus of three months. the prominent companies that offer internship opportunities are atlassian, samsung and several other companies of generaly 50000 per month.

Placement Experience :

From seventh semester the students get eligible for placements. The internship opportunities start from 5th sem for both boys and girl students, however the girl students can get internship opportunities even in the second semester. A total of more than 250 companies visited the campus and mor than 750 offers were made. The highest placement was offered to 6 students of 83 lpa ctc by Atlassian. The average package of cse is around 26 lpa ctc. Almost 98% students were placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has a fee remission policy for economically weak students. If your annual income is less than 1 lakh the your tution fees is remitted, If your annual income is less than 2 lakh your 2/3rd tution fees gets remitted, If your annual income is less than 5 lakh then your 1/3rd of tution fees is remitted. Also sc and st category students donot have to pay tution fees. There are several scholarships for poor child and girl child.

Campus Life :

There are mainly three fests in an academic calendar, firstly the sports fest named URJA which takes place around november december, then there is the cultural fest named as CULFEST which takes palce around february, then the final fest that is the tech fest named as OJASS which takes place around april. further there are several fests that are organised by various clubs of the college. Plenty of books are present in the library. Classrooms are fully equiped with centralized AC, Projectors, White board , Blackboard and numerous well conditioned seats.

Hostel Facilities :

In first year you get a double occupancy room in which there is separate cupboards for each student, a window, a fan, a tubelight, a night lamp, two beds, a chair, a study table. From second year onwards you get a single occupancy bedroom. the hostel bed fees is 15000, the mess fees is 17000. The mess is decent with pretty good variety of food the food quality is average. It is compulsory to stay in college campus hostel until and unless you are a resident of jamshedpur.

Admission :

Firstly I applied for jee mains examination through nta website, then my first mains test was on 25th january in which i got 97.5 percentile, then i gave my second attempt in april on 11th april second shift in which i got 98.785 percentile, then i gave jee advanced on 4th june but did not got good rank. I then applied for this college cse course through josaa counselling, in which i got this college in my first round of counselling. I also availed the registration benefits of obc and home state quota.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I opted for this college because of the seat in computer science and engineering seat i got in NIT JAMSHEDPUR , because i got the NIT tag in this college also the fees in NIT JAMSHEDPUR is very low as compared to VIT.

In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
