Remarks :
In starting, once you come across the teacher you will be rewarded and appreciated irrespective of the work or studies for the whole of the semester until when you meet him/her. Sometimes your faces decide the marks/ grades. Managers of any group whether students or faculties will do whatever he wants.
Entrance Preview :
I GOT 32.69 IN IITJAM FOR GETTING THE ADMISSION IN MSC CHEMISTRY. I OPT THIS COLLEGE BECAUSE IT IS NEAR TO MY HOUSE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since I have done my BSc chemistry and next thing i could do in this chemistry field is MSc chemistry. Now I am in MSc chemistry and successfully cleared the 1year. Course include IPR ( Intellectual Property Rights ) as the one subject others and others like Physical, Inorganic, Organic, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Nanoscience as the subjects. It also offers a project of 1st year starting from 3 semester which helps you in your research goals.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar offers the internship programme starting from the month of June for 5-6 weeks. However, there is no stipend given to students rather they offer the internship of 10000 rs. And students have to manage their own food accommodation.
Placement Experience :
There are two types of companies came to campus for placement. One is coaching and other is the chemical industry. Companies and packages are Resonance: 6 lac per annum Prayas: 6lac per annum Aakash: 6 lac per annum Rao Academy Sun pharma came but didn't hire anybody. IOCL also came to campus but didn't hire MSc chemistry students. My 3 seniors got selected in the campus, one in resonance and 2 in prayas coaching. Since no students are allowed to sit placement for a chemical industry so students got selected for placement.
College Events :
This time there is no techniti held however 'utkansh' a great cultural festival held which is open to all the students of NIT. Sports day is also celebrated in which all the games were played. Cricket tournaments like Super 9 also played. Similarly the football , volleyball, basketball also played. Cultural events like dancing, painting also held. Along with this all religious festivals are celebrated. Fresher party and Fairwell parties also conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is intermediate But the hotel fee structure is not matching with the food they serve us. 1st semester Institute fee - 23550 rs. Hostel fee - 27500 rs. 2nd semester Institute fee - 16950 rs Hostel Fee - 22500 rs You will be charged for every minute new things with high payment and nobody will object it.It have a combined mess with Hostel no. 3 . They make the food so bad that it is needed for only survivale. No water facility on 2 floor. Washroom don't have the water for weeks. Which makes it living in hostel as living in hell.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes the scholarship is given. Many scholarship are given to toppers and low cast students. However no scholarship is been awarded to Msc students. Loan facility is good . You can get loan easily .
Campus Life :
Well the campus is very good. There huge difference between the girls and boys. Every month you can see competition going on, one just needs to participate. All religious festivals are celebrated with full enjoyment. Here is no discrimination and you can freely ask anything. But Institute infrastructure process is very slow.
Hostel Facilities :
I am living in hostel no.4 and it has a combined mess with Hostel no. 3. They make the food so bad that it is needed for only survival. If you want to take the extra you won't get. Many times the snacks get over and students don't get. On complaining, no action is taken. The food has the very bad taste. No water facility on the 2nd floor. Washroom doesn't have the water for weeks. No hot water in the winter season. There is only one washing machine which works properly. Hostel facility is very poor.
Alumni/Alumna :
My seniors are very good and they are very helpful.They are very much interested in playing and partying with Juniors. And i haven't seen any alumni, So i can't tell about them.
Exam Structure :
Exam and lab are like railway track. Every month there are 2 minors and class tests and presentation in between them and a final end semester exam. Practical labs have been conducting in 4 days in a week and a practical exam at the end of end semester exam .
Admission :
First you have to fill the apply for IIT JAM and choose the subject you want to do Master's programme in the month of October. Fill the requisite details and pay the application fee.After this you have to crack the exam held in February. Fill the CCMN form for counseling in NITs. Wait for result and the let the counseling procedure begin.If you are short listed in any of the 3 counseling , report the college at given time with required self attested documents along with the application fee copy.
Faculty :
Faculties are highly qualified and experienced. All are very enthusiastic about teaching. Many of the professor's got the award for best teaching and young scientist award by college and state government. They give practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge in addition to this they help in developing the all-around personality. Faculties also enhance the students in extracurricular activities. They also motivate the students in their research interest.
