Remarks :

Although college management was not at all good, but the students and teachers were fun. Had good experience with my M.Sc but I may not recommend anyone who seek a competitive edge.

Entrance Preview :

GNDU entrance exam for M.Sc. I scored 4th position. I opted for this college as I had good reviews of the university. Secondly, Amritsar was the nearest city to Delhi (where I reside) offering the course.

Internships Opportunities :

College internship was not at all satisfactory. None of the companies came in for offering internship. When I was with the college, I never saw any faculty or management taking initiatives to start on these lines for our department

Placement Experience :

Ours was the first batch in our department to sit in the placement as Placement cell was not at all proactive to pursue any activities related to it. Only 3 companies came in for placements for our batch:Nestle: 2.5 lakhs paCoca Cola: 1.8 lakhs paAccenture: 3 lakhs pa

College Events :

We used to have JASHAN every year in terms of cultural event celebrated at a grand scale covering all colleges and departments. No management festival. Some of the technical conferences were held in year 2008-10 due to initiatives taken by students of our batch with support from our teachers. However, this was not the ongoing activity.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees was a bit on higher side keeping in view the infrastructure provided. Although, GNDU is a private organisation, demanding more fees, but the facilities provided was not at all matching the standards. On an average, Masters degree for our course was approx 1 lac pa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The university offers scholarships to students who are from economically weak society and used to either provide full or half of the scholarship depending on the management decision

Campus Life :

Campus life was super awesome. Although gender ratio was a challenge but male counterpart was never a problem. No ragging, no crime ever heard of. There was some biasness wrt sikh religion and female wearing western clothes but nothing serious happened within university and was limited to oneself

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities were good. Room were clean and well maintained, one could find greenery all round. Average rentals were around 10000 pa apart from the food. Mess food was also good, maintained proper hygiene and tried to balance the nutrition.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni networking is gearing up these day as alumni society has pumped up from the past one year. Majorly students rely on some earlier contacts or social media

Exam Structure :

Labs were not at all taken very seriously due to lack of infrastructure and facilities available. But, exams a serious issue and a necessary steps were taken to ensure the seriousness.

Faculty :

Faculty was good and knowledgeable but only some of them had updated knowledge. Moreover, there was a resistance in some of teachers to share the information with everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Mathematics and course is also well structured so I chose this course And yeah they also try to relate the thing with real life problem. they inhance the capability of problems solving skills and analytical thinking . Overall the way they teach is good but they can improve it more .also the timing between 1st and second minor is too less we don't get much time to get prepared well due to the heavy syllabus .so they should improve in the syllabus it's too heavy

Admission:

The admission process of the college is held on the basis of the marks that a student gets in their graduation. As I took admission to the M.sc course so all the detailed marksheet were being required by the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is not very good. Though small companies come together every year to hire the students but the salary packages aren't too good. But the college is very prestigious and a student can use the talent and knowledge that this college give in the outer world and job field.

Remarks:

In starting, once you come across the teacher you will be rewarded and appreciated irrespective of the work or studies for the whole of the semester until when you meet him/her. Sometimes your faces decide the marks/ grades. Managers of any group whether students or faculties will do whatever he wants.

Remarks:

The good remark is it is a educational university and provide a platform for students to explore and increase their knowledge.and the bad part is the more plantation is needed although it has more than 6000 plantation already. the another bad part is that the construction work is still going on it should be rapidly completed.
