Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BA(H) Economics because I wanted to know about the supply and demand in the stock market and also learning concepts of excel and python. The course overall is tough but there is nothing I can't do is the mindset I live in. The exams durations varies for internals is 2 hours and for externals is 3 hours overall.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 300000 for 3 years for the overall course. It is a bit less but definitely is worth while for campus overall. The scholarship is just reserved for the best student in academics for future studies i.e. post graduation. There is less chances of placements for all the students but everyone has a chance to win it.

Campus Life

4

There are several fest that take place in months of December and January. This however leads to chaos all over but for the freshers its a good way to hangout with theirs friends and enjoy the campus life. The books availability is really good for BBA, BCOM , BA ECO HONS and Law students have their own library. There are sports teams for the college in football, cricket and many sports.Everyone can try but only few qualify.

Admission

The exam process was difficult because I am from the Covid batch and there were not many available courses and syllabi online. So we had to study the old syllabus as well as the current affairs for knowledge. That is paying 1500-2000 for entrances only.

Students become eligible for the college placements in the 5th sem of the third year. Some of the companies that I remember visited were BluePi Consulting Pvt. Ltd and few other marketing firms. The highest package of my batch was 22 LPA and average package was 4.5 LPA. I don't exactly know the percentage of the students that got placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’m doing History (Hons) at DCAC. I took this course because I had interest in this particular subject. The syllabus is big and covers Indian and world history. And I am also preparing for UPSC.. from there I came to know that those books which are referred in classrooms are very helpful even for UPSC and the syllabus which we study is very vast which covers indian history and world history . Teachers are good but teaching is old-style, mostly lectures. Not many group works or projects. I feel more field trips, workshops, and interactive classes should happen. Exams come two times – December and May. Papers are long answer type. If you attend class and revise, you can do well. Not too hard. Course is more theory, not much practical.

Honestly, placement depends upon your skill. Even 1st year student do sit for placement and if your skill matches the vacancy, you are placed. As such there is no criterion for sitting for placement and no barriers of year you belong to.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well defined and comprehensive. The St. Stephen's College is ranked by NIRF as one of the top colleges in India for B.Sc and B.A Hons. in various subjects. The course curriculum changes every few years so that the students are getting the latest knowledge. Exams are held time-to-time in every semester and the difficulty level of exams is not very hard, it's moderate. One thing I do not like is that even after paying such high fees for tuition, we also have to pay 2500-3000rs per exam as exam fees.
