Core branch placement are low as compared to coding branch placements
There are restrictions in first year so we can't enjoy so much

Course Curriculum Overview :

Because this course is the best I can get ag my rank so I choose this one. The ratio is quite low , I don't remember exactly but it's okay. The professors are well qualified PhD holders performing research in their various fields and releasing scientific research papers. The term exams vary from easy to moderate difficulty level.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't know much about fees hike as the fees is same as of last year's fees since it is government college so the fees hike is generally not there . I don't got any scholarship there and also no job as I'm in first year. But they gave me some concession on fees depending on my family income

Campus Life :

The annual cultural fest is recstacy and tech fest is aarohan they both are conducted in March. Books are sufficiently available(except some) in library and we even get other reference books. Lecture halls have projectors and speakers and the size is enough for the class . College also conduct games and as it's own teams for inter nits they have a well equipped gym and two large playgrounds . College also have many clubs either for coding, dance, music , debate,etc

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are spacious. We are provided with 1 alimirah, 1 study table, 1 chair and 1 single bed . In the starting the meals are good but till the end it get worse . Meals have both veg and non veg menu . Registration process of hostel is quite simple and hostel room are affordable

Hostel Fee : INR 48000 per year

Admission :

I had given jee mains for admission in this college. For eligibility of this course minimum 75% in class 12th is required and the minimum percentile is required as according to the cuttoff. You can find the application form for jee mains at the official site of nta and the application fees is 1000 and the application must be before December. The admission process is quite simple so I don't think of any improvement.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
