- No culturals which is very important but it makes my college life incomplete
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am from a science background and am interested in the course. I have chosen this to give high-quality products to the people in this modern generation. Compared to other departments the faculty is low for food tech in Bannari Amman College and with less experience Most of the faculty are M>tech graduates and some are ph.D staff with more experience. They conducted 2 semesters for 1 year and we have 2 internals which is known as periodical test in our college for each semester. It is very easy to pass the subject since we have reward points which also add to our sem marks
Placement Experience :
From semester 6 students are eligible for placements and nearly 200 companies come to take students most of the companies are IT-based and salary for that ranges from 4 lakhs per annum to 35 lakhs per annum. the count of core companies is very low which makes it very difficult for other non-IT students to get placed. Most of the students get placed in IT companies. the company that visited our college are Recent, soliton, mitsogo, TCS, Zoho, Accenture, Groton, presidio, zifo, Informatica, netxd, kissflow, zed digitals, IDP, kaarg, BYTS, juspay, Hexaware etc. nearly 90% of the students get placed through on-campus drive. I plan to do higher studies abroad since for my course the scope is high there
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are quite high compared to most of the engineering colleges since it is an autonomous college. we have Pragati scholarship which gives up to 50000 per year and the BC MBC SC-ST scholarship by which we get from 10000 to 50000 based on category basis. most of the companies are IT companies and core companies are very less the salary of an IT company ranges from 4 lakhs to 35 lakhs and a core company salary is 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs
Campus Life :
Our college does not conduct any big events most of the tech fest are department basis and it is conducted throughout the year. our library has a large number of books which are very useful and easily accessible we have all the sports in our college and it is students' personal interest to be in part of it we also have NCC, NSS and various student clubs such as community service club, muthamizh mandram, geo club, great minds, Leo club etc and we also have radio station
Hostel Facilities :
Most of the rooms are 4 sharing and we can also opt for two sharing and small rooms boys have NRI hostels. the food is served with high quality and taste is average minimum 3 variety is served. the registration process is done at the time of admission itself most of our college students are hostellers because of the long distance. the fee for the hostel is 84000. but worth giving we have free wifi and the rooms and hostel are maintained. there is no PG available in this locality but we can rent houses near Sathyamangalam busstand and opposite to college the rent is around 5k per month.
Admission :
12th completion with a maths background. The student must study maths to apply to engineering we can apply through the TNEA government portal if we have high percentage marks or approach the college directly for admission yes reservation is available on a community basis no, the admission process is well and good
