Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college as it is one of the best colleges for B.Tech in India and is located in New Delhi - The capital of India. Faculty: Student ratio is about 1:20, which is not that bad. The profs try their best but lack the teaching skills even though they are geniuses in their field of research. The exams are pretty frequent including assignments which keep students equipped all the time but the major exams require a day or two of studying and are easy to pass. However one needs to pay attention the whole semester to ace them.
Internships Opportunities :
Many Technical companies come here for internships too. the average internship is 4 Lakh per month in my department (maths and computing) and 2 Lakh/month all over the campus which is a very good amount.
Placement Experience :
students become eligible for internships in the third year and placements in the fourth year. almost all the top companies come and offer a number of jobs every year. average package is around 28-30 lac per annum ctc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee is 1 Lakh per semester making it 2 Lakh per year. Various Scholarships are provided to students with need and those who do exceptionally well in academics. I did not avail of any of them.
Campus Life :
IIT Delhi is one the best in terms of fests. The cultural fest Rendezvous is amazing and the technical fest is Tryst which is fantastic too. Other fests keep happening here and there. The library is well-equipped and will cater to anyone's needs. Sports facilities are top-notch too.
Hostel Facilities :
The rooms are non-air conditioned and not too spacious, but what you'd expect from a government college. Mess food depends person-to-person though I find it good. I live in a hostel and the registration process is straightforward.
Admission :
I gave JEE Advanced after JEE Mains, secured an all-India rank of 344 and this was the best I could get. I got into the college through JOSAA Counselling. I did not avail of reservation benefits. I found the admission process pretty fine and faced no major issues.
