Best Department. Portions will be completed before exams. The teachers helped to achieve our problems.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose to do a BA in English because from childhood I have been obsessed with the teaching field and also I love to communicate in English. In my batch, there were 32 students. The faculty is awesome. Teachers from this department are very friendly. They helped me a lot. I never met such sweet, supporting, teachers like them in my whole career.

Class Size : 32Course Fees : INR 1500 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

During the admission time, we have to pay PTA fund and other admission-related fees which will be around 9000. Later exam fee will be there. If we have a reservation, we don't want to pay the exam fee. In my department, there have been no placements or job fairs.

Campus Life :

There is a good library, where most of the books related to the syllabus will be available. There are so many clubs and new clubs also inaugurated last year, especially for women. In most of the sports competitions, the College won prizes, especially for volleyball. NCC and NSS activities are presented. Based on the performance, consideration grades are given to the students.

Admission :

The admission process was very simple. I got selected based on a higher secondary mark. As I had a reservation, I don't have to pay for yearly fee. It is one of the best colleges at Calicut University. And also one of the best departments in the college.

Get into SJCC

Placement Experience:

After the 4th semester we would be eligible for campus placements and we will be having internship during the end of 5th semester. I got into a digital marketing company for my internship period of 1 month at Pixel Boho ,my friends also got internship in Big company's like Flowers TV, Mythri productions ,Beylim etc. most students Get placements and for me ,my plan was to go to film industry so after my degree I went on an internship at the Chithranjali studios in trivandrum and Now I am currently an Editor of a feature film.

Before I'm joining the course, I had many expectations but after 3 semesters the syllabus started becoming useless and complicated. There are many topics in the syllabus which is not have to study. It's like 40% main topics and the rest are stuffed for nothing.
