St Dominic's College, Kottayam was established in 1965 under the catholic management of St.Dominic’s Forane church, Kanjirappally. The college starts functioning in a temporary building with an enrolment of 400 students in five batches. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU). The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in the fields of arts, science and commerce. The college has girls hostel within campus with all modern facilities. It also has a placement cell that provide proper guidance to the students to help them in their placement.

This college has a good winning percentage in B. Com, Ba. Economics, Ba. English, History, etc.. courses. This college is clean and the ambiance is very approachable. The semester fee is comparatively less to other colleges, and the facilities are maintaining a good standard like AC computer lab, AC auditorium, AC conference hall, fully equipped science lab's, etc. This college promotes sports students and has a good physical education department and the largest ground on which both cricket and football can play at a time. Good transportation facility because it is so near to the national highway. Has a good library which consists of more than 10, 000+ books and has a good canteen facility.

The college is very good and clean. Our college has good teaching staffs.I think this college is better than other college. And it is near to us. I find it easy to go to this college.And my friends had also got admission in this college. This college had got A grade in its teaching and other programs. It is the best college near our surroundings. All the people had good opinion about oru college.
