Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as it has creative freedom and a lot of people with the same headspace and morals. We have around 8 faculties in our department of which 2 or 3 take up 1 project, which can go on for 4 weeks. The faculty is very much into the industry space which is very good for making connections in the future. Also, we don't have exams but we have have crit ( review) where you have to present your entire semester's work.

Internships Opportunities :

As I said you have to build a relationship and let the faculty members know your name since the present batches are so big it's hard to stand out and if you do the faculty is definitely gonna help you grow and find internships.

Placement Experience :

Mostly our college graduates get their job opportunities via networking and through their relationships with the mentors that they have set over the 4 years they have been in college and that works very nicely. Also through their portfolios by applying to a number of companies. My plans after college are to get into a production house and understand filmmaking effectively and then learn theatre to become a director.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is really height going up to 5 lakhs per semester including stationary and hostel charges. The scholarship program is not that great as you can mostly get up to 30 percent. But you can get the entire fee back if you make it to a better prestigious college like NID.

Campus Life :

Design colleges don't have much fess but we have our culture week which is in October and remix which happens in the 2nd sem of each semester. Our college doesn't have a ground, so there is no facility for outdoor sports but we do have a games lounge with ping pong and snooker. We do have clubs but maintaining them is a hassle as we have too much work in our hands with our projects.

Admission :

Design colleges have entrance exams that we have to clear, and the results are declared after like a month. If you make it then they send you an offer letter. You have to apply for the exam through the college's website and have to pay the entrance fee for the exam.

Placement Experience:

The placements are great. The department responsible for placements is OCS and they are the best at their job they find top class recruiters and that too from big companies in your field. They also teach you how to prepare for them from the first year itself.

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

I knew a lot about fashion technology since my standard 10, when my brother in law introduced me to it, who himself is from the same course. Hence it remained as my first choice in choosing my carrier at standard 12.

Admission:

The admission was through an entrance test conducted by the college itself. However, the college also takes in students through their NIFT scores.

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Pearl excels in placing their students. The previous year percentage of placement of the luxury batch was 99% in all the leading luxury and fashion brands in India like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Armani, Cartier, Sabyasachi and many more. The students are personally asked for their preference of the industry in which they want to work, be it the fashion industry, the food or beverage industry or the luxury service industry.
