Remarks :

The reason I pursued Communication Design from IIAD was because of its affiliation with Kingston University, course curriculum along with their teaching method. The admission was based on an entrance examination which was conducted to test the design aptitude of the student.

Course Curriculum Overview :

IIAD has one of the best course curricula for Communication design in the country. Its extremely holistic in nature and equips the students with all the required skills that make the student industry-ready. Along with that, IIAD's faulty are experienced industry professionals.

Course Fees : INR 468397 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, college does offer internship opportunities to the students. Most of the internships provided are paid and students receive a decent stipend along with great working opportunities. Most of the students who apply for in campus internships are successful in grabbing at least one offer by the end of the entire process.

Placement Experience :

IIAD has a 90% placement track record. Final year students are eligible to sit for campus placements. Some of the companies that have visited the campus previously are Netflix, FabIndia, Squareboat, Aditya Birla among many others.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For BA (H) Communication Design, the course fee is INR 468397 per year. IIAD does provide scholarships and financial assistance to some of the students. Along with that, it has a 90% placement track record.

Campus Life :

IIAD has one of the best infrastructures for a design college in the country. Since learning is studio-based, we have labs, a library, practical classrooms among many others. Along with that, we have a lot of clubs such as dramatics, dance, filmmaking, and photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

As I know, in the third year, they will offer you an intership for 1-3 months and at the end of your course, they will provide you a job under well-known companies. My plans after completing my course i will like to work for 1-2 years under the company which will be provided by the college, after getting some experience i will start my own business.

Pros - big well maintained campus, alumni network, industry reputation, Cons- large intake of students, faculty, fees, slightly overrated If you are delhiite than 85% seats are reserved for you and this college is worth going for but if you are an outside Delhi candidate than Dtu is not worth the efforts that you have put in

Entrance Preview:

Pearl conducts its personal entrance exam and a interview trough which I went. The marks were not revealed, I just got a mail which congratulated me and welcomed me to the course.

Placement Experience:

Pearl excels in placing their students. The previous year percentage of placement of the luxury batch was 99% in all the leading luxury and fashion brands in India like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Versace, Armani, Cartier, Sabyasachi and many more. The students are personally asked for their preference of the industry in which they want to work, be it the fashion industry, the food or beverage industry or the luxury service industry.

Entrance Preview:

NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts. Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.After clearing these two tests,the candidate moves on to the situation test which is basically 3D modelling,on the basis of a given situation and materials handed,we have to come up with a model.

Admission:

As I have previously mentioned,NIFT has its specific entrance exam which is divided in 2 parts:Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test which is conducted for 5 hours.Creative Ability tests your creative skills whereas GAT tests your grammar,mathematical and general knowledge.After clearing this test,I moved on to the situation test,I was given some raw material and 4-5 themes to choose from.
