Remarks :
My experience with this college is very good. I got my degree with good marks and overall experience was pretty excellent.
Entrance Preview :
Selection process is purely based on merit basis and first cum first serve basis. That means if you have good marks and you take admussion earlier, then only you will get a seat in this College.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took Bsc. Biochemistry. The teaching process was totally excellent. There were theory as well as practical classes.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships available. After passing out, a student has to work on its own. So if anyone has to do do internship then this college is not for you. Here you can just do your undergraduation.
Placement Experience :
Placement is not too good. You have to work your own to get a job. Other than studies job opportunities are not much from the campus.
College Events :
There is only College Week. In this week there are all the cultural events and sports. You can enjoy and take part in it.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's one of the prestigious college of Shillong. Fee is a bit higher than other institutes. But at the same time you will get quality education here. I have done Bsc. and in my first year I paid 18000 in the beginning and then before the annual exams, I paid the exam fees almost 2000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No such facilities for loan as such. You have to give your timely fees without any delay.
Campus Life :
Only timely college events that is organised every year. But there is not much scope of sports in this college.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are allowed for students who are from other states or far away places. Rooms need to be shared and single rooms are not available. Food is okay. Rent is less. Almost 1800 including 3 time food.
Alumni/Alumna :
No such events of meeting of alumni with students. Alumni used to come if they want but is rare and once student get passed out, no one comes back.
Exam Structure :
Exams are yearly so no need to worry. There is only annual exam at the end of the year, so just prepare for the finals and everything will be fine.
Faculty :
The faculty is very nice and supportive. Each and everyone believes in teaching in a practical manner. There is no space of rot learning, so teachers use practical classes to make students learn better. If you ever join, you will know the difference.
