Electrical engineering Faculties are very arrogant and don't care for students at all
There is no system and discipline in college itself, it was just savage and barbarric sort of things that I could sense from this college

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like electrical circuits and hardware and software. According to my guess, there must be 70 students per faculty which aren't bad. Faculties are all well educated except the ones in lower branches like environment and all. Our studies and syllabus were for 6 month - 6 months time course but they ended it in 3 months - 3 months which wasn't sufficient and we got to finish the syllabus at the last minute. The exams weren't also easy depending on the method they used to teach us, the exams were very difficult. It almost felt like this college has no system or discipline in it so how come they expect us students to be disciplined.

Class Size : 118Course Fees : INR 87000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The annual fee is 87000. The Fees are a little high depending on our studies and the time we study in the college compared to the medical colleges. I am just in 2nd year so no job yet. Jobs or internships are generally provided in 3rd year. There are NSP scholarships.

Campus Life :

The fest which is conducted is tech fest - Innovision, Cultural fest - Cosmo, and some festival, etc. The library is full of all kinds of books and stuff. The classrooms are well made having all the facilities without any complaints. I don't know much about sports activities. SAC and Monday morning and all.

Admission :

I took the entrance exam JEE mains and scored 174 out of 300. I was given a ranking according to my score. Application form was provided at the college, we were just told to bring some documents to the college for admission. I am General so I didn't have any benefits but I think no one should get those baseless benefits for studies, everyone should have equal value in getting a good college.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
