- The campus is lush green and pretty. It is very different from the atmosphere of the rest of Delhi.
- The fests are amazing. The concerts have renowned artists like Sunidhi Chauhan and Nucleya.
- If you make right efforts, you can do a lot in college societies.
Dislikes
- There is no proper student union in the university.
- Hostel authorities have been increasing the prices of hostel and mess.
- The major course is B.Tech so being a design student you sometimes feel like a minority.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 5 specializations in the course. The teachers are well qualified. All information regarding faculty members can be found in the admission brochure. The exams don't have a set pattern because of the nature of the subject and the course. The exam may be theoretical or practical. They are however easy to pass.
Placement Experience
In B.Des, there are few campus placements. Students have found good opportunities off campus. In the field of design, employment opportunities depend on portfolios so students have to put in the effort themselves instead of merely relying on college. The average placement for the last batch was 22 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees would be nearly 10 lakhs for 4 years. In addition to that, the projects and stationery will cost a good amount. There are a few campus placements but students find better opportunities off campus.
Campus Life
DTU has some of the best fests in North India. The annual fest Engifest happens around February. There are multiple societies and clubs to participate in. Social life can be very happening here. The library is well-equipped with resources. However, there are not many books on design as it is a relatively new course.
Admission
The admission is done on the basis of the UCEED score. All information regarding the UCEED exam can be found on the official website of UCEED. Students from all streams are eligible for this course. The details regarding the application process for Delhi Technological University can be found on the official website of DTU. The registration opens around April-May and you will need a valid UCEED score.
