Course Curriculum Overview :

1. Diploma from SLIET in the mechanical branch is very renowned and famous because of the department's achievements and the clubs that are run by them. 2. As there is no shortage of professors and faculty in the college optimum number of teachers is there. 3. The students are divided into subgroups and classes are taken accordingly. 4. Exam scheme is simple there are two minors and one major held at the last of the semester.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 19000 per year

Placement Experience :

1. In the last semester the placement comes to get the students. 2. For mechanical there is Maruti and Mahindra etc. 3. Average package for the diploma is not that high revolves around 2 to 2.5 lakhs. 4, Most of the diploma students aspire to join the same college as a degree student.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1. As diploma fees of this college are not that expensive as one can expect that much if they are coming from a different state. 2. One can apply for different student welfare schemes sponsored by the university and the government for the economic assistance.

Campus Life :

1, There is an annual Techfest, cultural fest, and food fest organized by the college every year and hosted by the degree students. 2. There is a central library for all and all the facilities that are available to undergraduate students. 3, All the basic facilities like a smart classroom and room for hosting technical lectures are available. 4. For the sport there are a lot of options one can participate in football, or badminton in which teams are going to the state-level competitions.

Hostel Facilities :

1. You are given three seater room as a diploma student in this college and you are given one chair, table, and bed per student in the room. 2. Mess quality is pretty average in the hostels and menus are followed throughout the week. 3. Registration for a hostel is done while filling in the fees for the first time there you can opt for the hotel facility.

Hostel Fee : INR 3500 per year

Admission :

1. There is an exam held for admission in the diploma scheme the eligibility for this is only a 10th pass and you can give the test and take the admission. 2. The test is hosted all over India by the university only and you can fill out the form through their website. 3. You can get the reservation if you have the quota.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i am a graphic desginer and also was so much interested in coding since i was 13 so thts why i chose the dip in computer science and engg and i chose to do diploma because i wanted to be in this as soon as i could...and if we talk about my course it helps me alot to get a reality check of the work load of a software enginer...and teaching methods are just finee...of this coursee rest you hve to do self study in every course and timming exams should be improved because exams happen frequently after 1-2 days we dont get much time to prepare and sometimes 2 exams in a day..

Campus placement is very good highest is around 22 lakhs and students start getting placement in final year of btech and average placement is 4.5 lpa some of major companies are tata mahindra amazon and Microsoft which offered placement around 45% students get placed my personal plans is to do btech from thapar university in patiala

Life at SLIET

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is very interesting. You get more practical experiments and hands-on experience in your diploma. There are more than enough teachers or faculty for their respective courses except for a diploma in civil for now. Most of the faculty members have done their master's or Ph.D. from IITs or NITs. Terms exams are not that hard but need to have your basics right.
