Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because it was available at Anna University and had a tie-up with the central leather research institute. Faculty to student ratio was 1:40 which is a good ratio. Teaching was done from 2nd year by scientists of CLRI which was very good. Exams were 3 internal exams and 1-semester exam.
Placement Experience :
The placements are very good. Almost all students of each course get placed. 100% placement assurance is there. Various leather companies came and visited as well as IT companies. You can either do higher studies or join CLRI as a research assistant and become an scientist.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Considering it was a government college fee structure was very reasonable. It was 7000 Rs per semester. Got into Ambur leather factory on completion of the course with a stipend of 25000/-. Since it's a government college no fee hike.
Campus Life :
Each course has its individual tech test. Ours was Crosslinx. As well as college level there is a common celebration. The library is well furnished with books and journals on every course available. Has ample grounds and space to play.
Admission :
Got in through the counseling process. Eligibility is 12th pass. Applied through Tamilnadu common engineering counseling based on 12th marks. The allotment is done as per eligibility and availability of seats.
