Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering because it was one of my main interests as a core field and also I liked the curriculum of the same at IIT Madras. All faculty are well-qualified and experienced. There are usually 3 exams per semester and they're not tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
The names of the companies are so many that they can't be named all in one place. Both Indian as well as International companies come for interns and they offer a variety of roles for students to get exposure to different fields
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year. So many companies in diverse fields visit the campus and most of the students get offers. My plans after getting a degree are mainly to get a good placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is quite high but it is worth the amount given the opportunities that we get and a very good network. There are numerous scholarships that help students to afford the high fees from time to time.
Campus Life :
There are so many fests like Shaastra, Saarang, E-Summit, Samanvay, and many more. The library is filled with so many books in all fields. All classrooms are equipped with good facilities. There are many clubs run by students like CFI, E-Cell, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
All rooms are in good condition with all necessary facilities like LAN, cupboards, etc. The mess food is very decent and gives vibes of home too at times. Registration for a hostel is very simple as all we have to do is just follow the procedure that the insti tells.
Admission :
The admission process was completely based on JEE Advanced and the rank obtained. For JEE Adv, firstly, JEE Mains has to be cleared with a prescribed cut-off. JEE Advanced is a pretty tough examination that requires very structured coaching, dedication and hard work.
