Remarks :
The details about the placement and job opportunities provided to the students are not fully known to me, but I know certain things. IIT Madras provides a huge placement and job opportunities to the deserved students. Highest packages are often seen in IIT Madras.
Entrance Preview :
I took the IIT JEE exam, scored around 180 marks. I chose IIT Madras as the college because The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, is among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research. There was no specific interview for admission, but just a registration procedure.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes the college provides internships. Internships can vary from core interns to finance interns. The average salary packages are really high – even more than what an average MBA can expect.
Placement Experience :
The placements in every IIT are good, and since Madras is one of the top few, they’re brilliant to say the least. Internships can vary from core interns to finance interns. The average salary packages are really high – even more than what an average MBA can expect.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is an SBI Bank inside the campus, which provides loan facilities to the students.A friend of mine has availed an MCM scholarship which gives him 1,000 per month.
Campus Life :
Female:Male ratio is 20:80.Students have consideration for others. They respect and tolerate each other. We had awesome workshops and people here are polite.Racism is totally prohibited. Smoking or drinking alcohol is totally banned inside the campus and students have a responsible attitude for others and themselves.they do not posses any harmful weapons or such kind of things.Students positive attitude brings credit to thier own reputation. At one point of time, most IITs were notorious for their ragging-activities, but with the introduction of strict Anti-Ragging laws, you hardly see anything major at IIT Madras, though something or another does pop up once in a while.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors encouraged me about diligence and punctuality in their attendance at classes and in completion of set tasks.
