Vamsi Krishna's Review On Karpaga Vinayaga College Of Engineering And Technology - [KVCET], Chennai

Remarks :

Perfect hangout with food, fun and frolic, our cafeteria boasts of a wonderful gastronomic tour. Offering oriental, Indian, continental menus, this cafeteria is one of the hot-spots in the campus. The details about the placement and job opportunities provided to the students are fully known to me and it was amazing.

Entrance Preview :

I have appeared for CAT entrance test and my score was pretty good. I opted for KVCET because it has great placement records and provide best placement opportunities, so i decided to choose this college.

Placement Experience :

The placements in every college are good, and KVCET is one of the top few, they’re brilliant to say the least. Internships can vary from core interns to finance interns. The average salary packages are really high even more for MBA students.

Campus Life :

Library is the heart of an academic institution. Our college library has been establishing an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book material in science, engineering, technology, humanities and management. It is a learning centre for all students and staff members to make the best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Facilities in hostel are quite good which include 2-3 washing machines per floor, multipurpose playground, badminton court, basketball court, kits for most games, TT Table, Billiards (in some hostels), Foosball etc. Mess food is not very tasty but healthy.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are not as good as you expect from a B-School. The highest salary package offered to be 20 LPA, and most of us are to console with a salary package ranging from 6 to 7 LPA. However, almost 95% of the students got placed, but it was noticed that some of them got salary packages ranging from 4 to 5 LPA, and even some got lower than that.

Remarks:

The college helped me to achieve great success in this domain. Moreover, the academics parameter of the college was amazing and the non-academic arena was also impressive. I learned from both of them.

This an excellent University for students wanting to pursue Engineering. The VIT-BS in comparison still needs to improve in terms of quality of teaching, Internship support, etc.

I took CAT for my MBA admissions in Top B-Schools but unfortunately my score is not up to the standard required in LIBA (Loyola Business School). So my next choice is SRM , there in addition to CAT i was made to take SRMCAT which has same standard as CAT. After that i got score to get into SRM institute of Management.

Admission:

I got admission in SRM institute of management.Initially we have to get application form from admission dept. The admission process is of two phases in which on Phase 1- We have to pay the Fee mentioned (Full fees or partial) and we have to get the Fee receipt. Phase 2 will be just before the college opening and in that we have to give all certificates needed and it will be verified.

Remarks:

Very good education i could get ' Value for Money' then as we were all Ist gen professionals trying hard for a degree and a future. I would say what I learnt from the University in a rural setting was 'Values'. As the saying goes : 'Valuables' are valuable but 'Values' are invaluable.
