Remarks :

The admission process was followed through JoSSA counselling. Courses were allotted according to the score i.e. All India Rank in JEE advanced examination. Candidates can find previous years' rank cutoff on the Jossa website to know the chances of branch allocation according to their rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The main reason for choosing a computer science degree is good placement and intership opportunities. The coding culture at IIT ISM Dhanbad is very good and we have a coding society here, in which branch seniors take weekly classes and teach important concepts related to competitive programming.

Internships Opportunities :

Mostly all the major companies visited the campus for intership/ placements. Intership opportunities are more in IT companies as compared to core companies. The care development cell conducts the process for interview process for the intership.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester and other fees such as hostel fees, etc. are around 15k to 20k per semester. The institute provides fee waivers and scholarships based on your family income and category. You can find more details related to fee waivers on the institute website.

Campus Life :

Our annual techfest is Concetto which is organised every year in the month of October/November. The annual cultural fest named Srijan is the largest fest in eastern India and is conducted every year in the month of February. The campus has very good sports facilities including a playground for cricket, football, basketball courts, tennis courts, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel accommodation is provided to every student. The hostel is allocated to you according to your year of study and your course i.e UG or PG. The quality of mess food is decent, not very good. Both veg and non-veg food are provided and once or twice a semester, a special dinner is organised.

All you need to know about BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

The placements are declining day by day. In 2022 the average package was around 14lpa and highest was 56lpa but after that it has decreased significantly. Percentage of students have also declined . In ECE around 80% students get placed with an average package of 11lpa . Companies like Nvidia do visit the campus.

B.I.T My Home town

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good. Approx. every student is placed. The average placement is 6 lakh. The students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement. The company visited are Tata steel, Vedanta, JSW, Tata Power, Tata Long Products, Deloitte, Sclumbereg, Amazon, Samsung, CISCO, Akash, Fiitjee, Byjus, etc. many big companies. In every company there are 5 to 6 students are placed. The placement package of Tata steel is 10 lakh, amazon is 44 lakh, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is 85 %. I want to go for teaching in Akash or Byjus, etc.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR what you learn and what you experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 3rd semester, many students got PPO offers and almost all big companies visited and there were 2-3 offers on everyone and there is 100% placement and the highest package was 35 LPA by Microsoft and the lowest was 3-4 LPA by mass recruiters like tcs and Infosys. Everyone used to work after getting placed.

An average stundet of cs

Placement Experience:

After the completion of 3 rd years, students are eligible for placement. About 10 companies came when I was there and they don't have soo many offers. The highest package of 10 lakh waa given to our best student in computer science the average package was 5-6 lakh that's the average package of most colleges here it is the same. The placements of students were quite average about 70 % cause most of the students get diverted. I planned to go in some other field apart from engineering.
