Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is designed to enhance the research skills of the student. The faculty-student ratio is very good about 1:9 in my time. All the faculties are scientists and did post-doctoral studies at reputed foreign universities. The exams are conducted timely according to the academic calendar.

Class Size : 10Course Fees : INR 54600 per year

Internships Opportunities :

You are given one complete year for the master's project where you will learn a lot of new techniques. But choose the labs wisely according to your research interest. Do consider how the lab PhDs are before joining the lab.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for Placements from the 3rd sem of M.Sc. Placement coordinators invite the companies and then interviews are held. Placement for M.Sc. courses is very less as most students opt for a Ph.D.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course has a fee structure of about 55000 per year. The mess advances are also about 55k every year. The scholarship is not given recently but for M.Sc. Biotech students coming from the GAT-B exam a student fellowship of 5000 per month is available from DBT.

Campus Life :

Life at IIT is awesome. The campus life is vibrant with all the festivals celebrated on campus like Durga Puja, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Holi, and Christmas. Sports events are conducted regularly by the student gymkhana. The library has an adequate number of books with a reading room facility opening mostly 24hr. Lakshya sports fest has happened recently. TEDx, Fluxus, and other fests are also occurring.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are good. Each student gets his room. B.Tech hostels have AC in their units. Each unit has 5 rooms, an attached bathroom, kitchen, and sofa. Each hostel has a Badminton court, TT tables, and Television in common rooms. Registration for a hostel is with the academic website of IIT. Food at the mess is however average.

Hostel Fee : INR 32000 per year

Admission :

The admission is through the national level entrance exam- IIT JAM. The eligibility criteria involve - B.Sc. graduate in any discipline of life sciences with 60% marks in graduation. The application forms can be found on the IIT JAM website. It has reservations for all categories like EWS, OBC, SC, and ST.

I choose Masters in Physics subject because I am interested in this subject and the teachers here were great. I want to clear NET in this subject, and the teachers here were very supportive and helpful. The exams were bit difficult but all will pass their exam . I want no improvement, all is good. Placements are provided but it depends on subject streams and availability including many other factors. But yes if you have honestly completed your studies and well equipped with knowledge and technology you will be able to explore n number of opportunities like you can opt further for a doctrate degree or research on trending topics or you could land youself job in companies & even MNCs. One can also clear exams like Net JRF, Gate, DBT, ICMR, ICAR etc to get stipend while doing research or pursuing doctrate.

I'll choose the course because of college review is good for the couse that I want to be pursuing also the good faculty nature here student-faculty ratio is 75 :1 qualification of faculty also good to see some of them are completed his master's degree some are Ph.D. and some are iitians and nitians too exams depend on the stream you choose some streams to conduct semesters exam and some annually conduct exam it depends on you if you work hard you definitely pass the exam.
