Remarks :
in the above field, the view I gave was totally good. just a few negative things left so they are here; university campus is located in a remote area so there is transportation issue as well as the connectivity issue even after being the wifi campus. but I am sure that the university staff is doing their best to solve each and every problem faced by students.
Entrance Preview :
because this university is one of the two central universities in Madhya Pradesh, another reason was the well qualified and experienced faculties in the department as I did my graduation from state government college and there was the shortage of faculties but here no problem like the previous college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
the syllabus there is totally research oriented. most of the subjects and topics of the syllabus are from the syllabus of research exams like GATE, NET, BARC, UPSC all India geologist exam etc. except it the geological field training is also in the syllabus for best exposure of best future as a geologist. the dissertation last semester totally for research and compulsory for all student.
Internships Opportunities :
NO, the university does not offer any internship, but if the students of university want to go internship to other institution or research center after getting permission from HOD/Dean/ Registrar.
Placement Experience :
As the geology department is new here and we are in the second year batch. till yet no facilities are there for placement but the teaching method are and syllabus is enough for clearing several exams for a job in geology field like a gate, UPSC geologist exam, coal India exam etc.
College Events :
the university organizes several events starting for welcoming the new students. then several events like independence day, republic day, university foundation day celebration. except for these celebrations, the various department organize the seminars, national and international conferences in which students faculties and scientist from various universities and research centers come.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
fee structure in this university is totally flexible, even it could be India's one of the cheapest university. hostel fee is 2750 for a year and for ST Sc students hostel facility is totally free. as this university is formed for development and better growth of tribal belts of MP and CG hence the fee is low.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
yes for each PG student university give PG fellowship and for Ph.D. students research fellowship is offered.
Campus Life :
campus life is awesome there, the serine weather around campus among mountains of Satpura range. the campus is enough green and the whole facility is in the campus like the hospital, post office, bank, ATM, shopping center, a park etc. for sports, the university has recently built a cricket stadium, indoor sports complex, volleyball court separate Gym for boy and Girls. there are several clubs like dancing, music, fine arts, literary, photography etc. which organized several completions throughout the year.
Hostel Facilities :
in university there 2 hostels are for boys and 2 for girls having a capacity of 380 rooms shared by 3 students in each hostel and a separate hostel for research scholars. facilities at the hostel are good like security services, Gym, water cooler, a common room, CCTV surveillance etc. for food there is a mega mess which is sufficient for all UG PG student and for research scholars the mess is separate. the food quality is average neither too good nor too good nor too bad as it costs about 1350 per month for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Alumni/Alumna :
as I am in the second year batch of the of the department only one batch has passed out recently, when they were here they were quite helpful.
Exam Structure :
examination system is based on CBCS (choice based credit system). the practical lab is an important part of the exam because it contains 50% marks of the exam while 30% is theory exam and the rest 20% is for internal exam held during the semester. as the department is new we dont have many labs but department have enough for students.
Admission :
after getting the admission notification i applied for IGNTU all india entrance exam. after 1 month applying the form i got admit card and i went to appear the entrance exam. the the resut had announced after couple of weeks. i was in frist merit list and my rank was 10th. i applied admission form from online admission portal then i went to university for physical document verification then application process for hostel.
Faculty :
all the faculties in the department as well as in university are well qualified and experienced. the day from I took admission the faculties never missed a single class even after having the academic workload. the faculties are quite helpful too in class and well as outside the class.
