Remarks :

The students are selected strictly on a merit basis. Students need to pass the 12th exam for applying in this course. There are different categories under merit list for General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD students. The application form can be found in the college website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I want to be an English teacher. The faculty is quite good and they take regular classes and provide us with notes. As we are Gauhati University we have to give sessional and final exams within a span of 4-5 months, so it's quite hard to score good marks.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 5600 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is like this for regular students 5600 and for students under the fee waiver category it is 400, it can only be availed by students whose parent's income is less than 2 lakhs. The students can apply for scholarships on their own.

Campus Life :

Our college organizes a Freshmen Social every year to welcome the newly joined students in their courses and it is conducted in March-April every year. All semester books, previous year's question papers, and journals are available in the college library. The classroom consist of CCTV cameras and practical rooms consist of computers. Every year between January to February sports week is held in the college playground. Our college has many social groups, and clubs one can join according to them.

Arya vidyapeeth college life as a student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BA because of peer pressure, but it wasn't so bad because you can go in any direction. Real world application isn't a thing of the course. But it can help you if you want to study further. Classes have digital boards, that's a plus. Each semester consists of 1 sessional exam and 1 final exam.

My course is of 3 year long duration. There's a total of 14 papers and each semester we get specific papers according to our sem ( ex: sociology of religion, sociology of gender, kingship, stratification, etc.) + we have a Generic subject. With generic in every semester we had a compulsory subject with our honors and Generic, indeed it was something new that we learned.

Biswanath college is awesome

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quite good but the course duration is very long the four where graduations fyug course is very long and the subject where much there are 7 subject total in our course the courses quite big but we are enjoying because in this course we are able to learn the science subjects, for example, VAC evaluated courses where we have given exam in disaster management and the ecosystem it also there is several subjects called MDC SEC AEC exam timing where also good and exam difficulty was hard in Vishwanath college there is no chance in Viswanath college to do copy or something illegal

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.

Though every colleges have their pros and cons, nothing us perfect I'm not also a good student but i love my college I'll give my best for my studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject english that is why I chose this course, I'm studying ba in English and i will do post graduation in also english, but in our department student teacher relationship is not good enough, I can't communicate with my department's professor as much. The other problem is last year we gave 3 semesters exams together in a year which should be held after 6months, I would like to request the authorities to give concern about that.
