"Faculty of management studies, Delhi"

VS

Remarks :

The admission process was very simple, easy to understand, and highly informative. The application fee was Rs 2,000 approx and the application date for us was 15th January last date. To be eligible one must have a bachelor's degree.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course of an MBA is very tough and we need to study all 5 domains in the first year that is HR, FINANCE, OPERATIONS, MARKETING, and IT. Along with this, in the second year, we get an option to choose Strategy as a course as well. The faculties are really top-notch.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship process is similar to the final process. Companies like Capgemini, EXL analytics, BCG, Bain, StateStreet, Tata Steel, and domains of all kinds are invited to our college and the placement team does its best to place each student in the preferred domain.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good, the college has over 250+ students in every batch and everyone gets placed in the best companies, with an average package of Rs 25,00,000 per year it is a good deal because we invest as much as Rs 1,00,000 in a year and we get 25 times.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is only Rs 40,000 per half year and that is too low for doing an MBA in India. Financial assistance is provided by the college itself and Delhi University rolls out scholarships for students who are not able to pay the fee.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is fabulous, we at FMS Delhi have the benefit of Delhi University, and also being in the national capital, we are having a great campus life. I am a member of the sports club at FMS Delhi and it is a really good club, I totally enjoy all my time here.

Placement Experience:

Final placements start in the month of November. Many MNCs, startups, foreign companies and companies from different sectors visits the campus for summer internships and final placements as well. Placement activities take place in 2 phases. Profiles offered by the companies are at par the positions offered to IIM and other B School graduates. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year. Highest placement goes up to 32 lakhs, the average is 22 lakhs and the median package is 20 lakhs. The figures are almost the same for all the specializations that DMS offers. There are enormous opportunities for students of each specialization. Overall placement scenario at DMS is good.

The industrial exposures with the modern approach toward industry and corporate sector attracted me the most. I was interviewed at 2 levels by the senior faculty of the college itself.

Remarks:

The institute has the one of the best library, where I can find the different books for their studies. But not all books that are issued form the institute is relevant to syllabus so I have to purchase the books. The institute has the online portal that make me comfort in my studies and I can also go for the last year question papers from the portal.
