Remarks
The admission process to the college is very simple. There isn't an admission test to get admission. The admission is wholly based on class 12 results. As soon as the class 12 result gets declared the college within a few days gives notice on the website regarding the admission. You just have to follow the instructions and register yourself for admission by submitting the required information and documents. The application fee is also very much affordable. After the application procedure. The college will take its time to upload the merit list. Within two to three weeks the college will publish the merit list on the college website and the selected students will be asked to pay their admission fee and get a call from the college with the required documents for the verification procedure. After verification, your admission will be done.
Course Curriculum Overview
My reason for choosing this course was very simple and clear. Reading books is a hobby that I have from my childhood which motivated me to take this course. The number of students each and every semester is less which ranges from 18-30 students and we have a total of five professors which consist of two male and three female professors. All of them are great in their own way of teaching and they are very much helpful and friendly. Talking about the examinations, the CU that is Calcutta University started to follow the CBSC system in 2019 which is the semester-wise exam. As our college is CU affiliated they follow the same system. We have two exams per year with a gap of 6 months between each semester exam. The level of difficulty is dependent on your approach toward your studies. Although the paper is all set keep in mind the syllabus and nothing comes out of the box. So if you prepare well you can score well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are comparatively decent. It is affordable. It's all around 3500 to 4500 per semester. All the changes in the fee structure depending on the situation such as the Covid pandemic. During the years of Covid, our college fees were decreased as most of the classes during that time were held online. There is also some financial assistance for students who are financially unstable. For the full procedure of the process, they must visit the college office.
Campus Life
This year I got graduated from college and I made tons of memories although the pandemic took most of my college days still, I got the opportunity to spend my final year at college with my friends. The best part during the initial year was the fresher's party and in the final year, we witnessed an amazing and memorable college fest. Although the college organizes a college fest each and every year due to the pandemic we got it in the final year still we are lucky enough to witness it. Apart from the fest the college also organizes other programs such as blood donation camps, teachers' day and republic and I dependence day celebrations, Saraswati puja, and so on.
