Remarks :

I gave VITEEE. Standard was easy to medium. After that, I got a mail about my rank and all other information about branches, and all were sent in the mail. VIT has a category system that should be removed. You can find the form on the official website of vit.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have opted for BTech biotech bcoz ViT is one of the best for this course. lab experience is very good and the teachers are decent. There are two mid sems and 1 final. 1 faculty to 60 students in my branch varies from branch to branch.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 230000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship offers keep coming in different types. We have to complete 1 industrial internship and also the capstone project. Some people also do internships in the college only under some professors. We have to do an internship at the end of 2nd year.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is decent. I'm in 2nd year so I don't have much knowledge but this year 2 people got a 1 cr plus package. The average package is 4 to 5 lakhs and 8 lakhs plus is the dream offer. For my branch higher studies is a good option.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are depending upon the category you get, mine is a category so for me it is 2.3 lakhs, college does provide scholarships for poor classes and the campus is decent. For NRI it's very expensive. Hostel fees are around 1 lakh.

Campus Life :

There are about 150 plus clubs and chapters in vit and the opportunities they provide are really very good. There is a club for almost everything and exposure is good. Being a part of 2 clubs/ chapters is decent. There are also teams.

Review of placement

Placement Experience:

From 5th senester students are eleigible for the placements. So your 5th semester cgpa is very important. This college provide placements from companies like zoho, accenture, tcs , hexaware, mitsogo and more. The highest package is 12Lakhs and lowest package us 3lakhs.60 percentage of students are getting placed each year. Its fully depend on your skills. My plan is to place in campus placements for a web developer role.

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible fro the placements and attends interviews from the sixth semester. And the college starts to provide special placeement training from the end of the sixth semester. Even I'm still not eligible to attend the college placements, I hear a lot from my seniors about the placements. From those informations, some of the major and high paying companies like Accenture, Infosys, Sutherland often approach college for the placement. I have no knowledge about the highest package but average package could be ranging from 5,00,000 to 6,00,000 LPA. The highest number of students that are getting placed are from Dept. of AI&DS. With overall count of students attending more than 50% students passes the aptitude and reasoning test round, 15% of students passes the Group Discussion round, and only 5-6% students passes the HR round and getting placed. I personally started to hate these 9-5 jobs after hearing from the seniors who got placed in so called "best IT companies". So, my short term plan is to get placed in a high paying IT company and work till i get fired by any means. My major and long term plan is to start a business with all the savings that I've saved from my job.
