Remarks :

The admission is totally on merit. You do have to have at least 55% qualified aggregate in your previous examination. The overall environment is too good that you feel as if it is your own home. The university is much developed and still going under development. The motto of the university is to reach the sky. The education system is much unique and high-class. The classes are digitalized and the teachers are friendly. The university also offers free admission for the economically backward class and aids all handicapped students. Even if you pass out from the university you always feel to visit the place again and again. The Chancellor always aims to make the university the No.1 University in the North East. and fortunately, it will be. Almost all the courses are available. Moreover, a Medical College is built up side by side with the university. You shall always have job opportunities after studying at this University. The University offers the merit students fees refund.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen to complete this course as I got a good scope in this field. Moreover, the teaching facility at the University has entertained me to stick to it. The teaching staff are much qualified and educated that there is no doubt about the teaching program. The exams were to be held timely with proper procedure and before that, it is made sure that the syllabus is completed and clear. This makes the students pass the exam with true knowledge and ideas.

Class Size : 28Course Fees : INR 4000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure may be a bit more here because of the facilities it provides to the students. There are many scholarships and Financial Aids for eligible students. It provides scholarships to meritorious students, it aids economically backward classes with Financial aid. There are preferences for the job opportunities for the students as per their courses and studies. Regarding project works, in every field there are prospects for jobs with a handsome amount of stipend to complete the project, it has tied hands with different organizations to get aid in the projects.

Campus Life :

The tests and examinations are being held timely with proper procedure. They are conducted in a disciplined manner that none of the students are hampered in any of the circumstances. The university is not behind in the terms of technology and science. It has the latest tech machines and instruments that will help the students to cope with their upcoming practical needs. It has a specific library that gives a vast ocean of knowledge. There are even updated books for all the types of Entrance and Competitive Examinations. A unique and combined Amenity Centre brings up all the students from the different fields in one place. The campus is divided into specific areas for games and sports too. Every type of sport is available on campus. The university has its special and unique website ustm.ac.in which you find every piece of information regarding any of the topics.

Life of student in NEHU

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is according to the new NEP program. The course are quite easy and understandable as there are related to the topics done in your Bachelors degree. The exams a done every 6 months and also 3 internals each semester from which best of two will be taken.

My Honest Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

First, I was interested in my course i,e Counselling psychology since my class X. I took up psychology in my XI and XII but as my State Manipur does not offer Psychology that time, I couldn't continue in my bachelor. So, I ended up taking English. Even during those, whenever psychology things pop up in a paper or media, it drews my full attention to it. That interest makes me got letter marks in my class XII as well. The first reason I took up this course was, because I want to help people. Seeing lots of generational trauma that affects the up coming children, mental well being of people makes me want to change the world. I got a whole lot of sympathy and burden in my heart. Secondly, I want to know myself more. Taking this course makes more aware of myself, how to stand up for myself, understand people more. I did not regret taking this course. I'm fully content about my decision.

Review of NEHU, Shillong

Remarks:

The university is located a bit far from the city center and on Sunday commuting is a bit difficult from the university and very few cabs are available. The university has a great fleet of buses and they help the students to commute to all parts of the city from Monday to Saturday. There are plenty of shops, canteen,restaurants and departmental stores inside the campus.
