Gcoen

Remarks :

You can get admission to this college through mhtcet. The allotment is done through mhtcet CAP rounds. Cutoff of Electronics and Telecommunication for open was 90.16 percentile this year. The cutoff is increasing every year. Details about admission are given on the official website of the college. Keep every document ready that is needed in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had chosen Electronics and Telecommunication department because I found it better than computer science. Also, I had Electronics in my 11th and 12th as a vocational course that's why I had chosen it. There are 68 students in my class. The teaching of faculties is good except for some. Faculties are highly educated. Starting off my first year was gone from online teaching due to COVID. Both the first and second sem exams started with a gap of four months of teaching.

Placement Experience :

As I am in my first year I don't have that much knowledge about placements but I Heard that companies like Wipro, TCS, Adani electricity, Bizsense solutions, etc. The highest package was 44 lakhs. The average package is about 4 lakh

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of gcoen is low as compared to others. Rooms are available at 2-3k per month near the college. The hostel is merit-based for just 2650 rupees .you can apply for the government of India post matric scholarship and other different Scholarships on mahadbt portal.

Campus Life :

From the month of February to march our college conduct 'ADHYAYA' (technical event ) and 'ORANZ (cultural event) with a Sports event called 'SFOORTI'.Mostly the books are available in the library but if it isn't then you had to wait for one to two days. Students held many social clubs like astronomy club, robotics club, and music club.

Hostel Facilities :

Allotment of the Hostel is done on the basis of merit. The hostel is too affordable coz it's just 2650 rupees. For mess, you had to pay 2000 rs per month. Rooms are also available nearby for 2000-3000 rs. The quality of mess food is also good. In the hostel room, you will get a bed and a table.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their last year. There are many good companies that come and take part in the placement drives. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini etc. come here for placements. The highest package in my understanding was about 30 lakhs as studied and searched by me. Many students secure packages above 3.5 lakhs in our college. About 90% of students get placed through the drives. My plan is also to take a good job from placement and then do my masters.

I got admission through CAP Round as directed by AICTE and DTE, the process is of 3 rounds until you choose a college and finalize it. Admission dates for FE students start from around May-June period as college opens at around 15 July approx.
