Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Mechanical Engineering since I like Mathematics and Physics. There were 140 students with around 20 faculties in total for the mechanical Department The faculties are highly qualified and are well equipped academically and mentally to support you in all situations There were term exams every 2months and the third exam is considered the final exam which is conducted once every semester If you follow the classes regularly and consistently you can pass with flying colours

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 97000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Caterpillar were the companies I attended All the companies were giving an option for internships and full-time employment with a min of 2L per annum remuneration Including more core companies might be an advantage

Placement Experience :

Students with no present arrears are eligible for campus placements. Caterpillar was the only core company which came for Mechanical Dept. others were software companies Please include more core companies 50% will minimum get placed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are a little bit high when compared to other private colleges. The fees structure is fixed for the entire course duration Students get placed most probably into software companies with an average pay of 2L per year. Internship opportunities can be found with the help of faculties

Campus Life :

Amma's birthday, Kaloltsavam and Onam celebration are the celebrations we were having. Vidyuth a Tech fest will be conducted once every year All types of books are available in the library. It has a huge library Smart Classes Sports meet, Football tournament, Cricket tournament, and Indoor tournaments are conducted every year

Hostel Facilities :

4 in one room at the hostel with a common bathroom for around 5 rooms. The rooms are neat and tidy Only veg meals at the mess. The quality needs improvement Hostel registration can be done during the admission process. You can opt out and join any PGs nearby

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience:

there are placements in every years but not every one gets it. because every one has less skills rather than coomparing their marks.becuase of their lacking of skills they have ended up being placed undeer companies which offer less salary.but some got good options also.and my collge is in a rural ares so not so many companies gets here

Yeah they do have placement here and they prefer their students more which is good and most of the time they give placement as teaching assistants. Sometimes only in the plant but mostly it's for TA and especially if you are doing your masters here it is so good

Pros and cons of NIT CALICUT

Placement Experience:

Qualcomm, ibs,Infosys etc visits. Highest package was 55 lakhs. Average package is 20 lakhs. Nearly 100 % placement in computer science engineering. After degree joining get a job through campus placement.

Good government University with better placement opportunities, infrastructure and good educational environment. Fee Structure is feasible and the university is stands apart.
