Remarks :

The candidate should have Studied Maths-Biology Group or Agriculture group in Higher Secondary school (+2) education. Higher marks will increase your chance to get selected. I got 186 cut-off marks, hence I got the seat. You can find all the admission details on Annamalai University's official website. They follow the Rules of Reservation given by the government during Counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

BSc Agriculture is my dream course. My father is A farmer. So I decided to study more about farming methods, effective use of fertilizers, hybrid seeds through the Agriculture course. My class has 50 students. The staff are well qualified and educated. They teach us, every theory and practical class with preparation and dedication. The semester exam is moderately easy to write. If you study well, you can easily pass without arrears.

Internships Opportunities :

The companies like Rasi seeds, and some food processing companies approached us for Internships. And they are offered a stipend of 4000/month. If we perform internships well, they will give us job opportunities.

Placement Experience :

From the second semester of the final year, the students are getting eligible for Campus interviews. Last year 52 companies visited our campus.350 of 1000 students were placed with the average package ranging from 18000 to 27000. I had decided to study for Government exams.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no hike in fees. Cost of study 82000 including hostel and tuition fees. They are providing a Post Matric Scholarship of 8000 every year and 7000 for the students who are First Graduates in their families. In the final year of study, they conduct Campus interviews with many companies, if we did the interview well, we can be placed with a good salary.

Campus Life :

The social life at the university is very healthy. They conduct Culture event named Florogala every year. In which many events take place like dancing, singing,meme-making, cooking without fire... Etc. They also conduct Sports event called SPORAG every year. The University also has facilities for social groups like NCC, JRC, and scout.

Hostel Facilities :

It's well accomplished room with attached Bathroom. The room is comfortable for 3 students. The hostel mess has a special menu for each of the 7 days. They also provide snacks during evening time. Registration process is very simple. We can do registration in hostel office within 30 mins.My Native District is Dharmapuri. The college is located in Chidambaram. So I used to stay in hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture has good scope in India. Many competitive exams are there. We don't only just study at class, we work in field , learn about the farmers and we do everything practically. Technology is improved in agriculture. Many farmers are now adapting the new technologies. Exams are moderate to difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In agriculture what you study in the books is not fully applicable in the field. The practical knowledge that the college provides is not up to the mark. 2.5 hrs practical classes must be engaged better. Every semester there will be 10-13 courses, each consisting theory and practicals. A mid-semester exam(20 marks) is conducted halfway through the semester. The practical exams(40 marks) are first conducted and there will be no gap between the exams. After this with one or two days gap the theory exams(40 marks)are also conducted daily like the practicals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am from an agricultural background so I have chosen this course. There will be 130-140 students per batch. Theory classes will be an hour and practical classes will be two and half hours. Teaching is good. Exams will be conducted at the end of the semester. The pass mark being 60 is moderately difficult to attain pass mark.
