Remarks :

College management was excellent. Staffs were highly qualified professionals. Best environment and student friendly campus I can't imagine any negative remarks. Annamalai university- full of positivity.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is of 4 years with 8 semester. Exams were conducted as such 20 marks for mid-semester, 40 marks for practicals and 40 marks for theory paper for each subjects and we learnt about 8 -10 subjects per semester. Last year students has project internship and village stay program for 1 long semester. While we pass out of college we would gain more informations on agriculture.

Placement Experience :

Industrial interaction will be arranged by college for 3 months during final year - 7th semester. Placements were excellent as most of the students were placed in companies with starting salary of 15000 per month as marketing executives, insurance sector, R&D, manufacturing sectors.

College Events :

Every year culturals, sports and literary events are conducted during second semester and various prizes were distributed to winners on the biggest event of PLANDOFEST - conducted every year. Final year students were allowed to celebrate pongal celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees during my period of study was 35000 per year exam fees of around 2000 per semester and caution deposit of 5000 I might be increased of of revised edition kindly check official website. Hostel fees was around 45000 per year. Tution fee and hostel fees were very less for SC/ST students. But the overall fees was feasible and affordable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No I haven't opted for it. But many of my friends had scholarships H section was alloted for students separately for students scholarships.

Campus Life :

In our course girl students ratio were higher than boys 70:30. Students had a friendly and cooperative study environment class timings were flexible. Events were conducted on even semester and many students participated and won many prizes too. There were no bullying.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes for each year different hostels were provided. Mostly shared by 2-3 members per room. Rooms were old as it was oldest college of over 80 years. The environment was good and mess foods will be provided at timely basis.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network was not separately provided by college. We have to form our network by making friends with senior students.

Admission :

BSc Agriculture is considered as one of the prestigious course as of next to medical field. I got admission based on my high school marks -1109/1200. 4 subjects marks were considered for cut off - botany, zoology, physics, chemistry and I got 188. 25 cut off. Admission Selection was purely based on merit.

Faculty :

Each subjects will be handled by highly qualified professionals. Mostly professors and associates will be handling subjects and they are student friendly. Some of the subjects will be handled by assistant professor for practical sessions alone. Students can approach stafffs directly at any time for doubts and clarifications.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture has good scope in India. Many competitive exams are there. We don't only just study at class, we work in field , learn about the farmers and we do everything practically. Technology is improved in agriculture. Many farmers are now adapting the new technologies. Exams are moderate to difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In agriculture what you study in the books is not fully applicable in the field. The practical knowledge that the college provides is not up to the mark. 2.5 hrs practical classes must be engaged better. Every semester there will be 10-13 courses, each consisting theory and practicals. A mid-semester exam(20 marks) is conducted halfway through the semester. The practical exams(40 marks) are first conducted and there will be no gap between the exams. After this with one or two days gap the theory exams(40 marks)are also conducted daily like the practicals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am from an agricultural background so I have chosen this course. There will be 130-140 students per batch. Theory classes will be an hour and practical classes will be two and half hours. Teaching is good. Exams will be conducted at the end of the semester. The pass mark being 60 is moderately difficult to attain pass mark.
