Remarks :

The administrative staffs are very friendly compared to any other college... They will help us in all academic and admission-related matters. Admission facilities if made online it'll be helpful for many people.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course can be called the mother of engineering. The student-teacher ratio can be 1:60. It may go as high as 1:75 in some classes. The faculty members are excellent and the series exam is moderate level to pass.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 8000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Some internship opportunities are available. But no stipend is provided we had to do it on our own. The college will just back us in the company. 4th-year 8th semester consists of the project this year mechanical department bagged the first price for the project.

Placement Experience :

The placement facility is not that good. For the mechanical department, less placement happens on core companies more placements are for CS AND MTECH DEPARTMENTS. TCS, BYJUS, INFOSYS, AND TATA EXLSI COME HERE YEARLY. The placement cell is working hard for this

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As it is a government college it is very economic to study here fees comes around 8000 for everyone but for reserved study who availed scholarships it ces around 2000 or there won't be any fees for some. Moma MCM and EGRANTZ are the most availed scholarship. Hostel fees for some can also be covered under this.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is really good. But the area is an inner village 12 km from Kottayam so we have limited stores nearby. The library is available to all without any cost. The classroom has all the necessary arrangements for a b. Tech class. Abraham and keli are celebrated here yearly. The city comes once in my entire college life. Shabdika the literary club, nature club, movie club everything is available here.

Hostel Facilities :

The room has electricity and an attached bathroom. The college hostel facility is limited. It is conducted as per the new norms of the government may distance or economic status can be a criterion for admission. The college hostel is having wifi facility. 3000 rs per month. PG and private hostel are available around.

Hostel Fee : INR 6000 per year

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
