College managements are very good and effective in getting placements. They have god lot of companies and many dream companies as weell and they ensure that all students are placed in very batch
Entrance Preview :
I wrote special entrance exam for MSIT course in IIIT-Hyderabad, I had two option : IIT-Hyderabad & JNTU Hyderabad which are offering this Course. I opted IIIT-Hyderabad because of its Good Reputation and also because its a IIIT
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course was based on the Fundae "Learning by Doing". Its very Pratical course which had simulation of imparted corporate like working Environment. we are divided in small teams of 3-5 members for each semester and each team had to implement /do a project along the due course of the semester based on a particular topic for the semester by going through the learning material and trying to put it to practice and we had to give a presentation at the end of the semester (similar to demo/presentation to client in corporate world). So we learn how to work in teams and how to learn and put the learning to practice by completing a Project
Internships Opportunities :
Its depends on the company if they are willing for taking interns. Major focus is on getting the students placed and that they did, all students in our batch got placed quite easily however few students did get internship in good companies and they pay about 10k for interns.
Placement Experience :
Placements are quite good and many major companies come for campus placements. for our batch companies like google, cisco, American express. have come and 100% of our batch got placed packages were good and minimum salary been 3. 5 LPA for our batch way back in 2007 which was decent package then other companies which came are Strand life sciences, IBM ISL Labs, MAQ Software, Convergys,
College Events :
Many fests and many events were conducted and even cultural events, and others like college day fest. were proudly celebrated. Also Gaming competitions like counter strike gaming contest were also conducted in iiit - hyderabad in which all willing students can participate and win prizes. some times they invited students from other colleges to come and participate in some of the vents conducted In IiiiT-Hyderabad.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is like 2 parts. For preparatory course it was 20000 and for main course it was 1 lakh for yearcourse was for 2 years. so main course fee was 2 lakh per year there is not much feasibility. the fees is on the higher side like i said its 1 lakh per year so its a significantly big amount. but it makes it up by good quality of the course offered by the iiit- Hyderabad . its really good
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have availed of a student loan in state ban of hyderbad because it was giving at low intrest rate at that time copared to all the banks private or public which were offering private loan.
Campus Life :
All are quite good diversity is good with students all across india. labs r very good. sports competition are very good refreshment from the regular work so you can participate in many of event and others conducted by IIIT-Hyderbadand there are many other extracurricular activities also.
Hostel Facilities :
I dint stay n college hostel, i stayed out in outside campus flat with my friends the hostel according to my friend is good and convenient and its very cool to stay and nearby so tat you can stay late night and work in the lab rigorously as its very easy
Alumni/Alumna :
They are helpful. There is not much i can tell about this since i have not sought out thier help anytime. So one can understand that there is no way to sugest whether how helping they are.
Exam Structure :
The course was fully project learning based test and skill in implementation. The assignments throughout the year across all the semesters are considered for marking. At the end of each semester we have a viva and a presentation all of which are marked. t
Faculty :
Faculty are very good and experience d. Since course is majorly Learning by Doing, they would guide us and give pointers on how or where to search so that we can complete the project on our own. "the Faculty know thier thing they are quite good at it"
