Remarks :
The coding culture is very good at this institute, that has been due to the seniors indulging juniors in competitive coding and icpc from the first year itself. But what we mainly lack is extracurricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very good, you get to learn the core computer science courses at the beginning of the 4 years which gives us a great edge over other engineering colleges. We also have electives in the 3rd and 4th year where courses can be chosen on our own.
Placement Experience :
The placements are also very good with a 100% placement record for the past few years, the average package for cs studenta goes up to 22 lpa. Many students get placed during their third year only when they get a PPO from the company they intern at.
College Events :
Events are celebrated in the college throughout the year, with main focus event being Felicity the techno cultural fest which happens in January and a lot of people from Hyderabad attend this fest. The rest of the events that are held are music and cultural events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure i think is feasible, with the tution fee being around 130k per semester, which is almost the same as compared to the other colleges like IIT. Also the hostel and mess fee is affordable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship is offered to the students who are economically weak and unable to bear the expense of the college. Also there is a branch of state bank of india within the college and availing loan from there is quite easy.
Campus Life :
As i mentioned the institute being focussed towards research, the labs are very good but the extracurricular activities are not that good. Though there's a football field and a basketball court that are good but the badminton court is open and not well maintained.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure and facilities are fine with the rooms being quite small but the condition is good. Mine is a newer hostel as compared to the others in the college and hence the washrooms and bathrooms are also well maintained.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network and seniors are amazing. They help in all cases and they provide you with the best advice whenever you are in any trouble. The alumni provides referrals to most of us for applying for internships and jobs.
Admission :
1. By giving JEE Mains examination 2. Filling out the form on IIIT website regarding the admission along with the secured mains rank. 3. Seat allocation starts once the form is filled by all students. 4. Then you can either accept or decline the seat that you get. 5. There are upto 5-6 rounds.
Faculty :
The faculty of our college is amazing, they are well experienced in the subjects that they teach and our college being a research institute, the professors are mostly indulged in their research and are very good at that too.
