Course Curriculum Overview :

Sanskrit literature is ancient literature from all over the world. This literature is the identification of Hinduism, so I want to do graduation in the Subject. JB College Sanskrit department is also an ancient department of the College, this Department and the college were founded by Krishna Kanta Handique. That's the reason I am Choosing this College for my graduation. There are 4 teachers in this Department. Each semester has 25 seats of students, therefore the ratio of teachers and students is 4:25. It is enough for the best results. Now the HOD of the department is Dr. Champak Deka, MA, Mphil, PhD. And other faculties have at least have Masters's degree in Sanskrit and they also Have PhD. Their teaching methods are very much appreciated. They give their best to us. The term examination will be held 2 times each semester. And assignments and seminars also have to do. End semester examination is held in 80% marks and another 20% comes from the sessionals and assignments.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of each odd semester are like 4000-5000 and each even semester fee is like 600-2000 rupees. At our time my admission fee was 4750 but I have gotten free admission from the college with the help of the government. Like every college and university, the students of our college also got the scholarship provided by the State govt, Central Govt or UGC through NSP or another system. There are another 2- 3 scholarships in the college. One of them is the student aid fund. In this scholarship, students tuition fees will be refunded by the college. For this, there are some procedures and eligibility criteria. Students union also provide scholarships or financial help to buy books etc. for economically weaker students.

Campus Life :

There are many more events with studies. One of them is the Anirvana fest, this festival 1st time celebrated in 2019 at our college. It is celebrated for 10 days. Where cultural night, DJ night, Freshers welcome program, Annual sports week, Cultural rally, and wall magazine competitions were conducted by the Anirvana team. The magazine is called JBIAN, where students write poemss, Articles,s, etc. It is a platform to develop extra talents. Our department also published a wall magazine called Prachyavedika, and also published a Handwritten magazine called Shraddha. And I don't have any Idea about journals. Therefore I haven't mentioned it. In Social media, there are many more groups by Jbians. On of them is Mukta sinta jbian, JB College confessions, raktavir etc. There is also a blood donation group that helps the patients.

Course is good but i feel some things are unnecessary. And it could have been more interesting if some good literature novels were included. I think the university can look again at the course which will be beneficial.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) 10/10 for economics, it's very practical and I can relate it with real life cases 2) it's tells us the economic theories and models related to real world and helps us grasp the concept through which we can shape our understanding of the real economy and real life cases 3) I feel like proper notes should be given by the professors in a definite manner and detailed syllabus with each specific topic must be given 4) our end sem exams are conducted on December and June. The difficulty depends upon our preparation. The difficulty is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the uni. board has opted to follow the NEP 2020, the syllabus and the course patterns are very detailly picked for each semester. This education policy also has and lets students to take equal opportunities in learning a subject out of their honours paper, by letting them choose a wide range of common papers that might help in ability enhancement, skill enhancement, multidisciplinary and value added courses. This broadens a students level of expertise too. So its a great way of learning I'd say.
