Remarks :

The admission process is simple and transparent. For admission, the student have secured a minimum 60% marks in Senior Secondary Exams With Subjects Physics, Chemistry, Math/ Biology/ Agriculture. No entrance exam is conducted. A separate admission cell is provided for admission work.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course is related to agriculture science, marketing and management. This course have a great scope after graduation. The college follows the syllabus prescribed by ICAR, New Delhi. Faculty : Student ratio is 1:40. Staff is well qualified, NET Cleared graduated from top agricultural universities. Teaching is through class lectures, practical and presentations. Exams are semester wise.

Class Size : 184Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are not any internships provided in the college. However post graduate students assist professors in teaching and get stipend of about 8000 per month. No other internships are provided by companies.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is working in the university . A job fair is organized every year by Govt. of Punjab in the university where local companies like Smagh Seeds Farm, Just Agriculture, Verka, Royal Agriseeds etc. visit and recruit students. The highest package is 8.00 lac per annum and average package is 4.00-6.00 lac per year. Final year students are eligible for placement. After degree, my aim is to do Masters in Agriculture and go in field of research.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no bargaining in fees. The annual fees is 1.00 lac. The fees will remain same for all semesters as fixed in first semester. Scholarships are provided only to those students belonging to scheduled caste/ Backward caste. There is no financial assistance provided other than scholarships.

Campus Life :

The campus life is very friendly. There is no happenings of ragging. But fights among students sometimes took place in recent months. Fresher parties, Farewell parties, annual fests and other functions on festivals are organized from time to time. There is a central library with access to latest journals, research papers etc. The university has its own stadium. Athlete meets, Taekwondo, Baseball, Football, Hockey tournaments are conducted time to time.

Is LPU that Lovely?

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placements from their final year and should have passed all the subjects. Companies visited are ITC, Adani Wilmar, dhanuka, some startups Highest package offered for the current session was 8lpa to 4 students where the average pay is 3.6 lpa Due to low pay most of the students turn down the job offer and goes on pursuing higher studies. So far, from what I have experienced is that there is cut throat competition in the placements.

Good in campus environment

Remarks:

After i entered , it was heaven seriously speaking from a small town LPU life for me is no less than a dream life. So here are some DO's and DONTs LPU :- Alwaysintain 75% attendance otherwise you won't be allowed to give your end term examination. 2. Don't get carried away with the crowd , you won't be able to come back to real life. 3. Be as simple as possible so that distractions doesn't over come your focus . 4. Join various Organisations. Here at LPU we have more that 50 Student running organisations , take initiative and be a part in any of these. 5. Weekly , there will be functions , or something or the other so that Students inside the campus are not board , so enjoy them . 6. As i have mentioned before , be choosey to select your friends world is not good my dear . 7. Yes , LPU have more than 3000 CCTVs and security guards are present within 100mt of range , so if you feel anything uncomfortable or someone is trying to disturb or something like that take there help. Security people are really very good.
